My local Home Depot (Store 2582) has several XGT 40V tools on clearance. Note they are not marked as clearance online, and show zero stock for some but my store had several of each in the cage.

Rebate steps:
-Purchase qualifying tool on or before Jan 31, submit claim by Feb 14. As far as I know every HD is Makita authorized dealer.
-Create an account on the makita rebate site.
-Find the rebate associated with the tool you bought, click claim. If you bought more than one rebate eligible tool on the same receipt, claim them all at once. I purchased on separate receipts so I made separate claims.
-Select the HD store you bought from. You may have to find the store by selecting the mailing address city instead of the store name city.
-Upload picture of the serial number sticker on the tool
-Upload a picture of the box UPC with serial number
-Upload a picture of the receipt
Rebate items took a month or two to ship last year, probably similar delay now.
