I got these based on the last deal post for them. They're very plastic-y and basic (for example, there's no way to adjust the angle to direct the beam other than pointing it with your head). But I tested both and they work fine. The modest 100 lumen output doesn't bother me. That's plenty of light to check a breaker panel, find a dropped key or search for something in a dark closet. If you're looking for nighttime running/hiking, SAR or some other long beam throw use, you'll want to spend more for better performance and durability. But for something to stash in your utility drawer, glove compartment or tool box, these seem like a decent deal.

These get posted a lot but they are terrible. 100 lumens is nothing and you'll regret not getting a rechargeable

I lost a rechargeable Energize headlamp that was much better than this one, so I got these to replace it. These are pretty bad, and they do chew through AAs for anything that takes longer than a few minutes. I use them with Eneloops, but I would not recommend these headlamps.

I bought these as basically throw away headlamps that I don't care if I break or lose. I regret it. The light is not adjustable up or down, and I find the light is in the wrong spot more often than not. Imho avoid these even at this (very) cheap price unless you are alright with trying to do stuff with your chin jammed against your chest.
