Fun fact: if you have an android phone, you can buy the USB endoscope camera off your desired length and a USB C to USB A adapter. There are free apps that let you use your phone screen with the camera. This also opens up options to use larger displays like tablets or maybe even Chromebooks (haven't tried the Chromebook option).
*Disclaimer* I only know this because the screen on my endoscope got cracked while I was working on my car. It was only then that I realized that the camera that was on it was plugged in via a USB A port on the unit. I had some old type C to type A adapters from one of my early Pixel phones (because I'm a hoarder) and tried this out and it worked. I actually prefer to have a dedicated display for my endoscope but these small screens are common and fragile.
Just a random and interesting fact. I might still be ordering this into to replace my old one. Thanks, OP

6.5' for the cable is rather short for this kind of camera. A quick search on Amazon shows that there are better options in this price range without needing a coupon; better meaning longer cord length, higher screen resolution, better review ratings, and longer product history. This product getting such a high deal score is a bit suspect.

If I bought another one of these, I would get one where you can twist the camera around instead of having a fixed one. Recently when I was trying to see if I had mold in my car A/C, not being able to twist the camera around made it extremely difficult to navigate down into the A/C system to where the coils were. I had to keep pulling the camera back out, bending it, then trying again.

Seems like a decent unit. But remember that most Auto Parts stores have lending tools for free and typically will include an endoscope in case you need one ASAP.I got one once to check the soffit of my roof for a rat snake that had made its home there. I was not interested in sticking my face up close to the hole where it had gotten in. Found him. Still gives me the heebie jeebies. Smilie
Did you cook the snake?

Is that one able to fit down a spark plug hole?
Thanks for the link!

I tried to use one of these relatively cheap camera endoscopes off Amazon to look down my drain once, but it was too long to make the turn in the pipe. The length of the actual Camera Head matters in that situation if it's got to make a sharp turn.

additionally it would have been nice if I could have rotated the head about or manipulated it cuz it got stuck on the lip of a connection and I virtually couldn't force it forward.

I considered binding it to a drain snake, and I've also considered tying some Thin string to one side of it so that as it gets down there I can pull the string and make it turn up and get over say that lip. but this stuff should be built into it really

The "1080p" is a big lie on these. The one I bought on the last deal also said 1080P and Max display size I could select was 640x380 (Samsung S24 Ultra). Picture you see can still be useful, but nowhere near 1080p. This has it's own screen, so no need for an intrusive app, but I highly doubt it will be 1080p.

is the stated resolution actually true? I had a different one and it was most like 480p max
hahaha. no. Most versions that connect directly to the phone will be 480p, versions like this with an attached screen are usually 720p even though they claim otherwise

Bought this one last month though haven't used it yet, but liked that the camera can be replaced and isn't hard wired to the screen.

No, I had mercy.
Took it about a mile away and released it in a very rural area.

Fun fact, facts are usually not fun. Also, commonly not facts when presented with the preface "fun fact" also.
I tried to read this comment but was immediately distracted by the fun fact that you managed to use the word, "fact(s)" four times, "fun" three times, and "also" twice (to begin and end the same sentence). Ultimately, your attempt at wit contributed as much to this thread as this ridiculous response has; absolutely nothing. Congrats!

I did overuse "also" that is entirely true. I may have not contributed, you may have not contributed, but I'll take it as constructive and work on my overuse of the word also.

I edited the original reply, because well, you're right it's unnecessary use of the word also.

Paid about double this for same display size, but 16.5' cable and it's come in handy a few times. I'm going to jump on this because sometimes the longer cable is a pain to wrangle. Thanks for the post
