My FIL with dementia likes to to mess with things he shouldn't. We track him with AirTags, some of which are housed in these exact cases. Problem solved with messing with things he shouldn't since he doesn't have the key to open these, and he'd never been able to figure it out on his own due to his poor cognitive functioning. AirTags in general are very helpful when it comes to taking care of someone with dementia.

"Not to be mean but sounds like everyone has some sort of dementia"
Yeah, that's exactly what "mean" sounds like. Sheesh.
"I have two younger children and haven't lost a phone, tv remote , keys anything"
You are clearly superhuman. Please teach me how to be you!

Where do you guys use these for airtags? To your vehicles??? I've seen keychain holders - and even hardcased holders - nothing that requires very strong adhesive. Are you sticking these to assets that can travel a distance - i.e. somewhere on an (e)bike/vehicle/luggage?
Valuable items that have a tendency to 'walk away'. My use case is power tools (specifically batteries) even though I got a soldering iron stamp to put my name and phone number into the plastic. I've only had to confront one dude ever working on a site 'borrowing' one of my batteries.
I will note that pretty much every story I've heard ends in "X got stolen, airtag showed it in Y house/apartment, police did nothing," so YMMV on the intentionally stolen angle.
EDIT: You guys are recording serial numbers and photos of valuables in a google sheets document for theft/insurance right?

While not this exact variant of their AirTag holders (I use the fabric mount), I place them instead all of my luggage.

Not to be mean but sounds like everyone has some sort of dementia in your households . How old are you to be losing stuff all the time ? I have two younger children and haven't lost a phone, tv remote , keys anything .. I've wanted to pick AirTags up but I have no idea what I'd attach them to other than my kids if going to a big park (Disney) . How do people lose stuff so often. ( excluding elderly which I 100% understand that situation)
You're an amazing person, so superior, 5 inches at least, everyone on slickdeals is in awe, make a post on Facebook now!

Dementia sucks for everyone involved. The afflicted often frustrated without ever realizing why.

I bought this for my car and paired with a moto tag so it works with my pixel.

makes the battery last ten years (recommend buying quality batteries to not leak). I threw it in my trunk though under a blanket in the spare tire area just in case the car is ever stolen.
Just curious how you use this mount in conjunction with a battery case?

Airtag is apples brand. Apple hates everyone else and many of their products are apple devices only (some exceptions like headphones). you can use with a moto tag though I believe but look up to be sure.

FYI for Android users, the Moto Tag has the same dimensions as the AirTag, and so can also be used with these.

It also fits the Moto Tag (for use with Android), as they have identical dimensions. I have a whole bunch of Moto Tags, and use AirTag accessories with all of them.

Yawn, more than 5 fyi, and no one is superior. Just an adult who doesn't just "lose" things do I misplace things in the garage , sure , but nothing that I use daily to need an AirTag for ? You've honestly lost your tv remote ? Enough to justify tagging it ? My 7 yr old hasn't even lost his tiny Roku remote
No one loses the remote, it just makes it quicker to find when say it falls in between the couch, under a blanket ect ect. And lots of people dont live simple lives, lots of stuff going on

Same - I use this type for my hardcase luggage, and the fabric mount type for my softcase luggage, backpack and computer bag. I also use them in my gun cases, on the off-chance someone breaks in and steals one while it's not in the safe.
And, of course, I have ones on all my keychains - the whole reason I got into these trackers to begin with was that one of my BMW's key fobs disappeared on me; it's almost certainly somewhere in my house, but it's now 8 months later, and I have yet to find it.
I just ordered a few from this specific deal to put in my cars (and my folks', just in case - my stepdad has Parkinson's, so...☹️).

The battery case would be used instead of this one - they also make a version of the one @Eragorn linked but with adhesive like this one (https://a.co/d/gdNyel3), as well as a more compact battery version with 5-year battery endurance that uses AAA's (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F511D4LS), which is also available with adhesive (https://a.co/d/gG4S44d).
I'm honestly not sure whether the adhesive models are identical, just with adhesive attached, or if they are completely flat on the adhesive side so they are less likely to come loose, though ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I have a loved one suffering from dementia and I'm literally on my way to their house to replace their shoes insoles with special airtag supported ones so if they wandered off we can find them. They won't always carry a phone, wear a watch, bracelet, but they will wear their shoes at least. Dementia sucks for everyone involved and definitely not a joking matter.
