Price of a footlong 1965 was $0.49 on $1.25/hr. Today that would be $2.84 on $7.25/hr.
But if you live in a high cost of living state (unless you live in a city where the wage is even higher), a sub would still not be affordable when proportioned, $16.90 is CA (as of the minimum wage increase this year), so a footlong would be good when price maxed at $6.61. Probably better in San Francisco where the wage is even higher.
To get less than $6.61, you could use this deal and stack with the current promotion of buy 3 subs (use this along with the $12.99 deal) and get one free. For minimum wage states, it is a bad deal. Just my opinion.
Guys, I am not trying to lie to you. Be informed before you use these deals.
Edit: I am glad this post received thumbs down. Haha. I would do the same knowing this and this deal. Totally agree.
The only way to get these subs even cheaper is to pretty much boycott. Supply and demand.
