I have this exact 3 unit model in a 5k sq ft house. Would there be any benefit from adding 3 more? I don't necessarily have dead spots but since it's 3 stories, would I get some improvement? And unfortunately I am unable to have any wired backhauls or APs.
In fringe WiFi areas (where you still have WiFi, but it's not very fast) adding one of these to your system can help. Toward the corner of your house, for example, if you have your other units more centralized. Too much WiFi on the other hand, too many units with strong WiFi too close to each other, can cause issues as your device doesn't know which one to connect to and it doesn't work well. You can force a device to connect to a specific unit via their app, but it kind of defeats the purpose of a mesh WiFi system. I'd run some speed tests on your phone or laptop close to one of these units then at the farthest place away you'd normally use a WiFi device. So you understand what it can / should be speed wise. If the signal is weak farthest away (and thus slow) you could add another unit close to there. These things are strong so you may not need as many as you think. I bought a second set to use in my house, started seeing the issues I described with too much WiFi and ended up not using all of the extras I bought. Good luck. Hope that helps!

Is there any way to disable wpa/wpa2 and only enable wpa3 on these?

I'm pretty sure the answer is no, which imo makes the whole convo about security updates kind of absurd. Wpa2 has been considered insecure for almost a decade now.

Does it make sense to buy BE14000 with $160 more? I have a NAS intended to be connected to the main router but no way for the satellite node backhaul. Thanks in advance.

Have ever returned Deco Wifi 6 due to intermitted disconnection after more than one year purchase. The problem may still exist on Deco Wi-Fi 7 device but Costco has no-hassle return policy.

I'm not sure if the BE14000 does it, but one thing to watch for is will the back haul take up an entire band and not make it available for other devices. The BE33000 (much more money) get around this by have 2 6GHz bands and one can be dedicated to the back haul.
When I upgrade, it'll be to one that does that. The cheapest I've seen the BE33000 has been $699, so I'm still waiting for it to drop.
My 3 AX6600's work great for now though. One is hardwired for back haul, the other is wireless. Even the wireless is plenty fast, but a NAS would probably stress it.

Bought it recently to replace my XE75 pro... Speed bump is meh... I had Asus BT10( around 440$+ tax used amazon) which provided much better throughput.
I want separate vlan for different network. TP Link is pretty basic in that aspect. Asus one is much better but has stability issues.
I returned both Asus and BE11000.
Best would be go your own router with access point, but then that would make things complex.
For beginners this is good, asus is good for intermediate and ap/router for semi-pro or pro.

I was eyeing this, but then saw tp link is stopping security updates mid next year which seems like a deal breaker.
They're also getting banned in the USA so not only is it bad to buy, but it's irresponsible to market or sell them

Rtings review is very positive:

https://www.rtings.com/router/rev...o-be65-pro (The TP-Link Deco BE65 Pro, also known as the TP-Link Deco BE11000)

Also note that Wifi 7 is a bit of a marketing mess:

I just ordered one to see how this works. I have been using 5 yr old Orbi mesh and that has been solid but not up to gig speed. I tried upgrading that to Orbi 770 and that's a horrible one ! System resets , connection drops, awful performance. Returned it to Best Buy.
Now I do hope this lives up to its expectations.
