So, other than sawing off your hand, what do you do with an electric hand chainsaw?

Not recommended. You can easily slip either with your hand or feet and make a mess.

Many use this to cut up downed trees and branches after a storm.

I use this to trim my fast growing mango tree. Tree is 20ft+ and near power lines so I trim it back annually. The small size makes it very convenient to climb into the tree and cut branches. Previous years I used a folding saw and I would make less cuts which can be dangerous. Taking down branches in smaller chunks is definitely safer. I have a larger 14" chainsaw for >5" branches. Gloves are cheap and recommend more durable gloves.

These are great I trimmed tons of branches and prepared a lot of firewood. Bought one for my neighbor and he cut up a ton of 2x4 along with branches. Useful and very versatile. Have used it for about 5 hours of work total and it's been great

These are a lifesaver in Florida. As you know we have many palm trees here and of course as the time progresses, each palm sheds off its leafs throughout the year. Now, palm trees do not have tiny leafs, or rather, when they fall they do not fall one by one like in other trees. What happens is that they literally sheds off a complete branch. Each one of them is huge. If you have a house with a front yard or backyard, you are responsible for throwing it out as no City will take responsibility of it for you especially in private property. So you have two options. One is to wait until your Gardener comes to cut the grass, which happens either once or twice per month. The other option is you yourself put it in the trash bin. The problem with the second option is that those branches do not really fit well in the trash bin unless you cut them. That is where this chainsaw comes into play. It makes this work incredibly simple so you can dispose of the branches very quickly instead of letting them accumulate in your property.

I actually got one of these last time it was posted. It cut through a massive branch hanging over my house like it was butter. Really impressive for the price.

Bought one last time for pruning fruit trees (we live in 5 acres and have 50+), ornamental trees, crape myrtles, oleanders. and cutting firewood. Have used it a lot and decided given the price bought a second one.

Got one late summer for $35. Thinking, the worst case, I'd return it. It's been great for pruning branches, removing a stubborn bush, and yolo breaking down a shipping pallet. $20 is bonkers. Possibly just the batteries are worth more than that. YouTube has a bunch of people reviewing this. It isn't a Milwaukee/DeWalt/Makita but quite the bang for buck.
