Anyone used one of these? How's it compare to the amazon basics one that gets all the praise?
Edit: Is this hackable? Buy both and only pickup one and they refund the other item?

Thumbed up for the deal. I haven't committed on these because there's no way to charge it while its in use (battery has to come completely out). However, two pieces of information they don't leave in plain sight on the specs page that others may find useful:

Charging Specifications
  • Voltage: It pulls a standard 5V. It does not support PD negotiation for higher voltages.
  • Amperage: The typical draw is between 1.2A and 1.4A.
  • Total Power Draw: The "top speed" it will pull is roughly 6W to 7W.
  • Charge Time: Expect a full charge to take approximately 2 hours (roughly 120–130 minutes) when using a standard USB-C cable.
Torc Specifications:
  • It has only two speeds: 200 RPM or zero, which takes some getting used to if you normally start out slow and ramp up the speed, or wish to slow down when the screw is almost fully in place.

Don't know about Amazon one, but i jave been using this for 3plus years. I use these for usually quick jobs and especially while assembling ikea type furniture, which does not requires too much power. Bought this for $20 3plus years ago.

This is a pretty bad electric screwdriver. A clutch and variable speed trigger would be much more valuable.

I've got one and have a strong dislike for it compared to the older 4v system that they used to have. Trigger is mushy and overall feels like a toy for a child's "My First Electric Screwdriver" set.
I just need to find a good source of old 4v style batteries as I now have two that have switched polarity while dead and are useless.

I got one a couple years ago and it is pretty terrible. Not much power and it shuts off after some resistance.

They cancelled my order for pickup despite there being dozens in stock. Pricing mistake I guess.
