I'm not a fan of the cap touch buttons for workouts as they trigger too easily.
The foam tips get dirty fast.
Sound is outstanding.
that said I find myself using my open ear MC1 Pro refurbs way more often than the Sony (more comfortable for many hours of use)
I was very happy with the refurbs and didn't taste or smell any earwax on them during initial inspection.

Great ANC, as expected, but I found I preferred the ANC on the cheaper CW700 series, so returned these.

Pros:
- Audio quality and ANC are good enough if you can get ear tips that seal properly
- Actual battery life of the buds is decent
- I'm not sure how good I sound on the other end of calls, but I haven't had any complaints about mic quality
- Case is decently sized and pairs to devices without issues
- Device switching has been pretty nice. Being able to connect to a Windows device and my Android phone at the same time is a convenient feature.
Cons:- Included foam tips didn't fit my ears well. Had to find silicone ones that fit well. Luckily I found ones that fit on first try and they were cheap (link in previous post).
- Battery life of case seems low. It constantly needs to be charged compared to my GB3Pros and doesn't seem to charge very quickly.
- Earbuds briefly cut out when I'm walking or at the gym. This usually happens when I put my phone in my left pocket and I'm moving around. Other earbuds I've owned have done this, but the latest releases from Samsung seem to have solved this. My GB3pros and GB2Pros basically never cut out like this.
- ANC and overall sound quality seem to be on par with my GB3Pros, as long as you can get ear tips for both sets that create a good seal. Unfortunately my GB3Pros silicone tips recently broke and the replacement I bought on Amazon don't create a perfect seal.
Ultimately, these are probably worth it for this price if they fit well. But for full price I wouldn't keep them, and I can see why there are so many returns. Considering I have access to Samsung EPP/EDU, I would probably try to find a good deal on the upcoming Samsung buds (or the 3 line), as overall I have fewer complaints about them.Leave a Comment
