Like a Metcon 6 right down to the elastic strap in the back except it doesn't have my favorite feature of the Metcon 6 - the sockliner fit (no separate tongue).

I bought that on sale the other week, but I just returned them. I underestimated the stationary tongue would be difficult to slide my foot into the shoe. I can't go any bigger on the shoe either because the size I bought was a little loose but manageable. I think the Flex will be a better compromise since the tongue can move.

That's interesting. Perhaps your laces were tied too tightly? I give my laces a bit of slack and rely on the elastic 'sockliner' to keep my foot in place. That might not be secure enough for competitive sprints or circuit training but for everyday fitness and stuff, it's great!

What do pre tell, is a "trainging shoe"?
Every shoe with a slightly different name, demands more money for the name. Why?

Training shoes are mainly for weightlifting or cross-fit type activities.
Truth is though, unless you're a top 10% athlete aiming for WR in specific/niche categories, or the shoes you're wearing are just grossly inappropriate, you can probably wear the same shoes for multiple activities.
