i've had this model for a few years and it works great, with the software it has a follow and gestures feature which is useful for filming or streaming. my prior dji didn't have those features then, but the current ones do at a much larger price tag (and better quality).

awesome... if you have an iphone 7 or earlier. if you have a newer iphone with action mode, you don't need this.
Isn't action mode i.e. software based stabilization limited by the fact that 1. you need good lighting and 2. the image is a bit cropped?
I always thought hardware based stabilization would be better.

I have one and it works well. Software seems to have a decent swath of features too. Only caveat is that it really works much better with smaller phones. Other than that, it's easy to recommend.

You really don't. I shot a 3 minute video with iPhone 15 Pro while driving a golf cart and holding my phone with one hand where I had just plowed out some roads here on the farm after getting 14-15" of snow. The ground was rough and icy and the video turned out super smooth. Amazing what these things can do.

Since the iPhone 12 Pro Max there is at least two axis sensor shift stabilization (IBIS) in iPhones. At least the main (24mm equivalent) camera's sensor has that.

I'm convinced. I've always wanted one of these and this definitely hit the price point worth giving it a go

give or take, it's $26.12 now at aliexpress, though return would be bit more difficult

Anyone buy this to primarily use as a tripod? Does it work well with a iphone in a thick case? Can the mount drop the phone under any circumstances? There are more expensive versions to select in the same product listing. Worth getting those styles for the extras they pack?

Is it as complicated to use as the DJI Osmosis 6 Gimbals? It's a lot of nuance dealing w/ mine.
