For $90 this is a buy. The Gore-Tex liner means zero break-in. Wouldn't expect it to last at a construction site but will be fine with regular use. Who cares what a guy who shills for Thursday Boot Company says?

Totally agree. I'll add that they're warm but not hot. Water resistance is great too, though I've only stepped in puddles that are deep enough to cover the sole.

The boot looks great and somewhat similar to the Red Wing Round Rover boots I have. Danner is normally a good brand to go for. But, these seem very cheaply made. The number one thing I look for in boots is if they can be re-soled. Like it's mentioned in the video reviews, resoling this may be more costly given that it's a tougher job for the cobbler. I have 3-4 pairs of Red Wings that I've resoled over the span of 16+ years. If this is something that's important to you in terms of a lasting book, don't get these Danner boots. At least look into other models and don't be fooled by the sale price.

I'd bite if they had more durable traditional rubber soles. I have a couple pairs of Thorogood moc-toe work boots with the PU wedge soles similar to these. They are a good compromise between the durability of harder rubber soles and natural crepe rubber soles, but they are going to wear out a bit faster. Once they go slick, it's not worth the money to resole these with their cheaper construction.

holy cow, sizes are selling out. I been sitting on this deal for a couple days before posting it. didnt think ppl would jump on them. i would have gotten a pair if the black had a black outer sole like the women's model. glad people liked this deal!

Anyone know how they fit compared to Danner Quarry? I've been wearing Quarry's for 20 years because I love how they fit. Only boot I've ever owned with plenty of toe room that doesn't press on the top of my foot.

Nice looking boots and I absolutely love the use of genuine PFAS containing GORE-TEX, but I don't see the point of a GTX boot with such a mild tread.

I've got GTX running shoes with a more aggressive tread, I don't really run but they are great for winter travelling where you need to drive comfortably then walk around in snow/slush.
