Was hoping to get this yesterday for a store an hour away. Ordered online and I guess they couldn't find it / wasn't in stock when they were picking it so it was cancelled.

My backup is Costco at 1400 with 140 shop card + 3 yr warranty

$750 (or less) is my price point. Microcenter has had these(open box) for $799 for awhile now. Waiting to see if there is a glut of returns after the Super Bowl.

I picked one of these up yesterday, been waiting for a drop under $1000 (no Microcenter near me). It certainly wasn't EXCELLENT condition as didn't have remote, directions, or anything besides power cord and TV. My store wasn't willing to downgrade condition as "you are getting it for $900 instead of $1400 for a new one".

Best buy's open box naming is all over the place. definitely doesn't adhere to the requirements. i have seen brand new in box as excellent as well as display model with no accessories as excellent. Thats why i always go in store to check before buying.

Only from online vendors like ebay. I really hate buying big TV's from online vendors, especially if its not a bigger retailer. If you have any problems, you have to deal with freight shipping to return them. Carrying it back to my local Best Buy or Costco is a big plus for me.

My wife and I watch most of our television now in bed. We have an LED TV in there that just seems like it's super bright unless you turn down the brightness and then you can barely see anything. Trying to decide between this or the Costco 65 inch B5 that's essentially 900. Not having to haul this and the 5 year warranty from Costco probably the way I am going to go. For normal tv watching in a dark room is the C5 that much better?

Is Costco offering a shop card now too? It thought it was just 1400 with the extended warranty
