Cigarette lighter sockets are typically rated at 8 to 10 amps at 12 volts, which limits them to a maximum power output of about 120 watts. Drawing more than this will cause the fuse to blow and may damage the socket or wiring. Devices that require around 175 watts exceed this limit and cannot be safely powered through a cigarette lighter socket.

If you are using the full 100-watt USB-C output, avoid using the other USB ports at the same time, as the combined load may exceed the socket's power capacity.

Not a lot of reviews for this model but looks like this may be a new model to their 70W version which has 4.6 stars out of 1K+ reviews. The company does make a lot of diff mobile devices and mounts so it's not like a brand new company. Not everyone will be able to get 175W total power because it will depend on your cars cig lighter fuse amp rating. Example, if you only have a 10A fuse then it will blow once you go past 120W of usage.

i have another version of 175w from the same brand, able to maintain the laptop carged while using. But it can't charge laptop 0 to 100%, It heats up and stops charging.

Make sure your 12V fuse is rated enough. Multiply 11V (NOT 12V) by the fuse amp. If it's below/equal to the output... danger zone.

Car power can momentarily dip to 11V. Wattage above that can/will blow the fuse. Many older cars have 10-15 Amp fuses.

Don't use 120W DC in a 10A car.

Moment you key off or your alternator hits 11V for just a few seconds, boom goes your fuse.

Stick to 100W on a 10Amp setup.

I know its beyond the scope of this; but while youre vehicle is running, your alternator should never hit 11V, unless your alternator/internal rectifier is failing.

You should be generally be at 13-14.5V; with 13.5 as generally the lower bound. If you're hitting below that; either your alternator is failing or you AUX loads are way too heavy for your spec'd alternator and it needs to be upgraded.

When running, sure. But there are times where the engine may be off and voltage can dip.

I do recommend the new 131W retractable chargers with voltage indicators, to know where you stand. If you avoid using all the ports at once, you won't hit 120W.

when running, yes. But what about when your key is in acc or on position without the engine running? Certainly a condition where > 120W could blow a 10A fuse
