Be aware that these open boxed phone is bond to carrier plan. No way to get one at $219.99 withOUT carrier plan. (Oh, and $40 activation fee will be chareged.) Although you can cancle the new plan, it's very hard.
If you alerady have att/verizon plan, then you will need to pay full price (649) + $40 device upgrade fee.
Both way seems bad to me.

The used phone itself is UNLOCKED.
RE-edit: Mobile APP does not need carrier plan confirmed! But Bestbuy canceled my order after a min. So the order experience vary. May be stocks amount different by location?

It appears that way when adding to cart through the website, but I was able to add to cart on the mobile app without the need to select a carrier. Then I was able to look back at the website and checkout there. I could have checked out on the mobile app as well.

If you look at the price for the Pixel 9 refurb/open box it's way higher then the 10. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you guys!

Got it delivered today, it looks brand new. How do I check if it's unlocked? I'm surprised how heavy this thing is compared to my XL

Mine had Cricket eSIM. Erased it first and reset to factory then checked.
From Developer mode. Worked for me.

This was an insane deal while it lasted. Truly open box and excellent condition, almost indistinguishable from new...and it even seems to have an unlockable bootloader. I was ready to purchase a second one when I saw the deal expired.
