Fanless is an interesting choice for something with SFP+ ports, probably best to stick with DAC, avoid 10GBase-T transceivers, and be careful with fiber. Maybe add a fan anyway.
Looks like the 5-port 2.5GbE + 1x 10G SFP+ variant is only $49.99, too - apparently an all time low. Probably a better choice for most folks: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CJ9F8RJF
Shame these aren't managed switches though.

Just the one I was looking for!!
- Fan-less switches can be managed by insuring there is space all around it - but it is to be watched to be sure so it doesn't overheat
- The 10G SFP+ interfaces can be short Cat6 copper or better running fiber can be challenging depending on how complicated the length of run is - they are a little pricey for SFP+ pairs but it gives you a 10Gb backbone..
Which doesn't do you much good unless you have a server or local archive which can benefit from the local speed - but most Internet services are pricey after 1Gb it might be a geek out thing today

Exactly what I need to improve the speed for my 2.5GB devices in the basement. Thanks.

I picked one up too since I recently got a Ubiquiti UCG Max gateway.. which may or may not have enough ports to use 2 2.5GbE devices, depending how I have it set up.
I see so many SFP+ tranceiver choices and wonder which is good to choose for this switch? Many of them have slightly diff models for diff brand switches but I haven't seen them list trendnet
Cat6a is rated at 10gbps for 100m but it seems most tranceivers top out at 80m and are said to get warm. I need to run 10gb to diff parts of the house - didn't think I'd be able to do it with fiber without breaking it.

We've had good luck with multiple brands including: HP, Intel, Cisco (pricey), UniFi (good value), StarTech, and SuperMicro SFP+ modules.
I'm pretty sure SuperMIcro just rebrands Intel modules. Not sure who StarTech rebrands.
Lately, I have been buying UniFi modules, even though I dislike the company for its business practices (this is the second time they obsoleted some of our perfectly-working hardware by stopping software support for them, forcing us to upgrade).
We buy/use 10Gbps fiber, 10Gbps copper, and 2.5Gbps copper SFP+ modules.

I run a managed trendnet and it works great. Haven't had any real problems and when I did have an issue, I actually had support take care of everything extremely quickly.
I bought this switch and it did not pickup my fiber sfp line using a 10gTek transceiver. When I swapped this switch with a TP Link it picked up the feed immediately. Any thoughts on this? I wonder if this switch is not comparable with the transceiver.

I'd rather have a 3rd Ubiquiti Flex Mini 2.5G with (5) 2.5gb ports for $49.00
Well.. darn. I didn't even know they had a 2.5G switch at a reasonable price - it's managed, too, via unifi controller.. I just went ahead and snagged one for $49 with free shipping @ B&H Photo.
Guess I'll return the trendnet one when it comes.
Is it usually that price? Do I need anything special to run it?
Seems to be the normal price yeah, but get it from B&H Photo because they have free shipping (Ubiquiti direct wanted $17 shipping and I noped out of that): https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/pr...witch.html
If you're just going to run it as a 'dumb' switch, you shouldn't need anything... but if you have a Ubiquiti gateway or Unifi Controller set up, they can function a a managed switch i.e. vlan tagging
