Fanless is an interesting choice for something with SFP+ ports, probably best to stick with DAC, avoid 10GBase-T transceivers, and be careful with fiber. Maybe add a fan anyway.

Looks like the 5-port 2.5GbE + 1x 10G SFP+ variant is only $49.99, too - apparently an all time low. Probably a better choice for most folks: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CJ9F8RJF
Shame these aren't managed switches though.

Just the one I was looking for!!
- Fan-less switches can be managed by insuring there is space all around it - but it is to be watched to be sure so it doesn't overheat
- The 10G SFP+ interfaces can be short Cat6 copper or better running fiber can be challenging depending on how complicated the length of run is - they are a little pricey for SFP+ pairs but it gives you a 10Gb backbone..
Which doesn't do you much good unless you have a server or local archive which can benefit from the local speed - but most Internet services are pricey after 1Gb it might be a geek out thing today

Exactly what I need to improve the speed for my 2.5GB devices in the basement. Thanks.

I picked one up too since I recently got a Ubiquiti UCG Max gateway.. which may or may not have enough ports to use 2 2.5GbE devices, depending how I have it set up.

I see so many SFP+ tranceiver choices and wonder which is good to choose for this switch? Many of them have slightly diff models for diff brand switches but I haven't seen them list trendnet

Cat6a is rated at 10gbps for 100m but it seems most tranceivers top out at 80m and are said to get warm. I need to run 10gb to diff parts of the house - didn't think I'd be able to do it with fiber without breaking it.
