Its rubber, not a rubberized coating that becomes sticky. I bought this exact unit 14 months ago and have had no issues.

Gripy Plastic on side degrades quickly in trunk. Will be sticky within a year.

Just FYI: The Mazda CX-30 I rented did not have a 12 volt outlet. Was discontinued in 2024.

I bought this during one of the last deals and the battery has already tanked. I topped up 2-3 tires (maybe 3-4 psi per tire, nowhere near full inflation) and it went from full battery to blinking/low. Past the return window so it's likely going in the garbage.
