One thing I don't know is the paperwork included an automatic bill pay mention. I've had that set in the past to a debit card, but paid before the trigger date with CC to get rewards. Apparently T-Mobile ended that practice by backing out the related discount if you use a CC, but what will happen in this case? Will they threaten to back out that month's phone credit if you go through with the CC transaction?
Costco store 2 : T-Mo rep verified my account, asked for offer details politely, looking into his tablet, confirmed that my line is eligible for $800 trade-in and completed the deal in 10 mins. He also told me that $100 costco gift card will come in about 4 months.I paid about $66 in taxes, no $35 connection charge since I did in Costco.
Takeaway : Dont stop if one store rejects, take time to go to another store and you might be lucky
When was the last time you got an offer for a free phone though? It's been more than 5 yrs for me on select choice and I didn't qualify for this one.

To clarify, SC could be Select Choice or Simple Choice. I also am on a Select Choice plan and feel like I do not ever get options to upgrade. Like others, I am also weary of upgrading and potentially losing my plan. I may stop by Sam's Club on my way home though just to see.
