Dude this guy on the T-Mobile Costco phone is taking more than an hour. He keeps restarting his system keeps bugging me to change a plan keeps asking about $18 a month insurance freaking joke. Keeps saying they are backordered and out of stock and can't get the order done.
my rep asked if i needed the case and i said no. that was it. everything else was straight forward on ordering pixel 10, getting info on the trade in phone, one LG L90 and one tmobile sparq. took the cc to pay for sales tax with free shipping. confirmed with rep that its the offer R499, yes to costco shop card $100 each, yes to free activation and yes to sign the eip agreement. whole thing took like 20 to 30mins lol

I had T-mobile for close to 20 years until they reneged on my grandfathered plan. I had to call them every month for a year to have my bill adjusted. They played dumb and blamed technical difficulties and sorry for the inconvenience. So I finally switched to tello.com where I pay $15 per month.

This or wait for the 11? I'm in no rush for a new phone but I feel like these deals don't happen often for the old plans.I know, I know, wait till the pixel 21. I've read issues with the 10.
You could always trade in the pixel 10 later on

I was able to get 2x lines upgraded with Pixel 10 On Us (traded-in some 2016 Motorolas, each showing the magical $799.99 promo credit over 24 months) without change of plan via call to Costco, with no activation and $100 per line upgrade confirmed via recorded call.Even though order was confirmed, at least one of the phones (Indigo?) is backordered so delivery not happening until mid March. Is that link https://promotions.t-mobile.com ? Or, https://promotions.t-mobile.com/costco?
$100 per line upgrade compared to doing it online paying $79 tax and $35 activation ? So you save about $14

"You can keep your current phone on that line and not even take the new phone out of the box." If by doing this, will the new phone be unlocked after two years?
That's a different question though. No, the phone does not automatically unlock as far as I'm aware. You will have to have it active on a line at least once and then you can request it once it's paid off. Something like this.

Does the pixel 10 non pro version come with screen protector, case? Any recommendations? I have family members that are stubborn and didn't want to go through hassle of trading their phones. My dad is using a galaxy note 10+ and mom using a iPhone 12 Pro. So instead I ended up trading my Samsung s8+ and galaxy A71 5g. I wish more credit was give for trading iPhone 13 only $300. Compared to $800 each for those old Samsung phones. Now I have figure out how to transfer or save old text message on these phones

Just called again and instead of telling them I wanted to upgrade via R499 promo I just said that I wanted to upgrade one of my upgradeable lines. She asked me my info (T-Mobile Pin, Costco mbr #) and told me that the indigo Pixel 10 is about a month backordered but I could still order it and the other color was just a week delayed. Chose the latter and she asked for the IMEI. Was a bit worried when she put me on hold for a while but came back and said that she understand that the trade-in is for any condition/phone but still asked about water damage and power-on, After that she got everything ready for me (asked for CC, address, sign edocs, etc) and said payment for today was for tax ($84) and that I should be getting the GC in 16 weeks. Everything went smooth and she said that I need to turn in the trade-in within the time period needed and that was it.

Hope this info helps.
What number did you call?

So far, "boytroy88" comments below appears to be correct for Costco in-store kiosk transactions!

I just did the deal today at a T-Mobile Costco in-store kiosk.
Here's my experience so YMMV...
1. Search on Google Maps with keywords "t-mobile at Costco" for the nearest store to you.
2. At the kiosk, there will be 2 options:

a) if the Costco t-mobile rep is an ass or lazy, they will steer you to perform the transaction on your own phone's T-Life app or, pretend that the promo (R499) doesn't exist. **DO NOT USE THIS PATHWAY** - You will NOT get the Costco Cash card for $100. The only benefit that I can see here is you might be able to pickup the phone right away at a nearby regular T-Mobile store.

b) if the Costco t-mobile rep is honest, they will use their own Pad to perform the transaction. The promo exists, I can easily see it on their Pad as they clicked through the process. It does take about 15 mins per device. The phone will be shipped to you, and there is no local pickup option! They will scan your Costco membership card, and you must have a credit card ready (can be a non-Visa card as well) to pay for taxes. There will be a part of the process, they will enter the IMEI of the trade-in to verify. Upon completion, they will tell you that you will receive an email which you need to consent and once that final step is done, it will be shipped.

The rep told me from what they can see on their Pad, you can upgrade as many devices, as long as that line shows "upgrade available".
But, we all know the T&Cs in the promo stated: Max 4 discounted devices/account. May not be combinable with some offers, discounts, or promotions.

Finally, the part I won't know yet, is:
1. How will I know I am confirmed in this $800 Pixel 10 Promotion (R499)? -- I believe someone here mentioned you should receive a text message within 24 hours as confirmation of the promo so I have yet to see the details of that text message.

2. How will I know I will be receiving the $100 Costco gift card? -- The Costco rep told me that in 4 months, the GC will be electronically available in my Costco account. Not sure if I believe that because I generally receive Costco GC electronically via email.

3. If some parts of this deal fails, I think we have 90-day to cancel.

In my case, I am on a legacy Magenta plan. I traded in ancient phones which can still boot up and IMEI is readable on device. One is a GSM candy bar phone, the other is a Sony LTE device. I upgraded 2 lines, one Pixel 10 Pro (128Gb) and another to the Pixel 10 Pro XL (256GGb). Keeping my finger crossed for all the dots to connect, and good luck to everyone!

NOTES: Google Pixel Promo with Trade (ID260229)
I am pulling for you, I also went to Costco, and the rep plugged r499, and pointed out that this promo had language stating it can be done via T-Life, or 611 or T-Mobile retail store, then she showed me another promo, she said I think it was R409, that promo had those same options but R409 had an additional option, where it said it can be done through, Costco, sams club, etc) whereas R499 didn't have that language on her iPad

Tmobile hotline for Costco declined to upgrade for me. I tried 4 times with 4 different agents, spread over 2 days. Always the same answer, targeted promotions are not available through the hotline, have to be done through T-life or 611. Advise me to ask 611 to waive or credit the $35 dcc fee.

As a last ditch effort, tried at the physical T-mobile kiosk inside Costco. Agent was not aware of the target promotions, so first pulled up the normal promotions and told me my worthless trade-ins weren't eligible. Ask agent to search for the specific promo IDs, and the promotions details pulled up. Agent read it and was like yup, this is an awesome deal. Upgraded my 5 lines with existing different EIPs / RDCs; agent and system didn't care about the stacking EIPs / RDCs. My trade-in IMEIs were rejected by the online trade-in tool, but agent just pick the "Any smartphone" option.

So it seems like the T-mobile hotline for Costco probably had a memo or announcement for not processing transactions for this promo; the retail T-mobile employees at Costco may not have heard or care about it. In any case, both my 1 iPhone and 4 Pixel upgrades have been ordered with my worthless broken trade-ins.

Yeah, the rep at Costco Glenview IL first told me that it's not possible, then I said "tons of people have done it already"...I literally watched him tap on the "800 promo"....then he says "Oh, yeah, if I do that for you here you'll only get $500"...

Hi. Are you aware of the 3 bullet point in the terms page? With your one 55. Are you certain your plan stays the same. Or read number 3 How to get this offer: 1. 2. Purchase a new Google Pixel 10 Pro, 10 Pro Fold, or 10 Pro XL on a monthly payment plan and pay the applicable sales tax on the pre-credit price at time of purchase; plus $35 device connection charge. Trade in any phone in any condition. You must be able to retrieve the IMEI for trade in phone to be accepted. 3. Switch to or have a qualifying plan: New Members: Join on our Experience Beyond, Experience More plan with at least 1 line, or on our Better Value plan with 3+ lines and 2 eligible port-ins. See terms below. Existing Members: Have an Experience Beyond, Experience More with Appreciation Savings, Experience More, Better Value or a legacy Go5G Next, Go5G Plus plan. See terms below for plan eligibility requirements. Click here to see your current plan. 4. Receive up to $800 back via 24 monthly bill credits
My ONE 55 plan had this in the TOS for this offer ( your bullet points) If yours doesn't then unfortunately your SOL the rest of us had it. It's even listed on the the homepage of this long posted thread.

.....Existing members, 5+ years tenure on T-Mobile postpaid plan....

That's the main part you're missing .After confirming with a TMO supervisor located here in the USA at 611 it means as long as your account is over 5 years old , in Good standing and has stayed that way, You can take advantage of this offer That 5-year tenure was for pretty much all ONE plans, Magenta plans and a lot of Simple choice plans.
That's the main part why our plans will NOT be changed. If your TOS doesn't have that part in it, then 1 either you're looking at a different promo , 2 they've changed it now that phones are sold out, or 3 You don't qualify.

I really want to get rid of this Galaxy A12 that's collecting dust, even though its IMEI numbers are not recognized. I already upgraded 4 lines under this promo, but I do have a line that says "upgrade available" and the $799 promo shows up after entering the A12 details manually. Has anyone confirmed with T-mobile about the "limit of 4"? Asking for a friend Smilie
