Only good deals on this Outlet sale:

Prime center in Black Ash, $375
PB1000 Pro, $750
The speakers and other subs are still inferior price-to-performance wise compared to their internet-direct competition such as Ascend, RSL, or Hsu. If you want higher end subs, look into PSA and (esp. for music lovers) Rythmik.

But, SVS does have free return shipping and excellent customer service, both built into their price structure.

And any SVS sub even at regular price is still worlds better than overpriced REL that Best Buy loves to push.

The SVS people are just so genuinely nice. I legit emailed them asking for advice on setting up a new speaker setup, placement, and other recommendations WITHOUT me ever even saying i was interested in their products…
They answered everything and wished me best of luck on my shopping journey

It is true. You used to get a SB-1000 for cheap during these deals. The prices have mroe than doubled.

I was in the market for the center speaker, but I don't see it. Must have missed it.
yep, the Prime center is now sold out on the Outlet sale, only the Ultra Evo CC is left, at $750. So-so deal. At that price range the KEF Q6 Meta might be better. Also, look at then 3-way Emotiva XC1 at $360 after 10% email signup discount (currently sold out, but this is its regular price).

Yep, on par for the course. As Charles Bukowski once wrote, "The little guy always gets it in the @ ss."

It's possible but you kinda have to get lucky.
Their best deals go extremely fast(minutes if not seconds)!
You can also frequently check, they add to inventory throughout sale.

If you have no brand preference and budget conscious.
You can take look at RSL 12s, for $135 more.
Just make sure footprint will work, it's a bit bigger than the sb1000.
Keep in mind return window is 30 days & returning it will cost you $150.

cool. thanks for the thoughtful response! i have been mainly looking at SVS because of the positive online feedback but will check out the RSLs you recommended. have a great day!

I own 1ea. SVS (I believe PB-1000 - 6 years old), 2ea RSL-100 (2 years old) and a Dynaudio subwoofer (I believe about twenty years old) and they each have their pros and cons. They are each fantastic and I use them for music and often. The SVS prices have crept up but, I believe they are still a great value and great people to talk to. I have never talked with RSL or Dynaudio. My two cents is that I would buy from each again.

I've had the SVS prime center for a couple years now as part of a 5.1 system and it is really fantastic. I did much research at the time before choosing it and the decision has been great

Hey so I found this fun deal for the RSL from the superbowl. Pretty good deal right? I may pull the trigger. Need to check the dimensions first lol: https://slickdeals.net/f/19183150

$759 just $10 more than the 1000 that no longer available.

Definitely check the dimensions, no fun trying to return a 82lb large sub.

Yes, check the dimensions but keep in mind that subs can always be tucked in a corner and disguised as plant/lamp stands if needed. Some people actually use them as speaker stands, with a speaker foam pad or a yoga block in between the speaker and sub. Lots of creative ways to do it...and physics being what it is, those extra inches are well worth it. The smallest I would go with any sub though is the RSL 10e/10s.

I would add and caution people, tucking a sub in a corner is often not a good idea for optimal performance.
Especially if you only have one sub.
Size does not override physics in this regard.

There are many ways to mitigate corner boominess: backing off on the gain knob, playing with both LPF and HPF settings, moving a couple inches this way and that way. With tiny sealed subs like an SB1000 though this is rarely if ever an issue. Subwoofer placement is an art more than anything, but for some folks WAF precludes optimal placement.

When you're stuck with a sub as weak as the SB1000, any compromises in bass QUALITY that corner placement might produce is well worth it for the notable increase in bass QUANTITY, i.e. OUTPUT.

I disagree, sealed subs are not excluded from this physics/mitigation.

I completely understand that people often have reasons for sacrificing proper placement/optimization.

If that's the case, yes just go with an entry level sub like the 10e/10s, tuck it in a corner and call it a day.

I bought 2 PB-1000 non pro versions a couple of years ago. Been super happy with them. No regrets.
Same for $399. Then they seemed to have decided to spend a ton on marketing and prices shot way up not long after I bought mine and have kept on going up. Switched to RSL for additional subs and have been very happy.

Combination of pandemic (opportunistic) inflation and in the past year, tariffs-fueled inflation. I remember when the RSL 10S first came out in 2016 and cost $400 shipped, and the 10e was $300 upon release in 2024. Now they are $500 and $340, respectively.
