If you need the aio, this is actually a really solid deal.

This Ryzen 5 9600X and MSI MAG Coreliquid A13 240 bundle stands out as a strong value if you need an all in one cooler, with the cooler alone pegged around $60 and the CPU effectively near $140 for anyone already set on AM5 parts. The 9600X is described as a cool running chip with room to move up to higher end Ryzen later, and the bundle price compares well with recent local CPU pricing. The main cautions are MSI Coreliquid reliability concerns and reports that the promo code has expired, pushing checkout to $199 plus tax. A solid bundle when the code works and the cooler fits your build.

The bundle can be a solid option when you specifically need an AIO liquid cooler.
GrandmasterBBC
The AIO pricing can make the effective CPU cost around $140 if you already own compatible RAM and a motherboard.
PhuongN1949
The cooler can be positioned as a potential upgrade path within the AM5 platform for later higher-end Ryzen CPUs.
mystwu

MSI Coreliquid A13 240 coolers can fail, with warranty replacements needed after multiple deaths.
bard329
The advertised bundle price may not be a new low because the same deal was seen at $185 previously.
yimnvs
The promo code SSF2958 can appear expired, causing checkout to show $199 plus tax instead of the bundle price.

Common Questions (4)

Yes. The bundle is a solid value if you need the 240mm AIO, and the cooler alone is cited at about $60 on Amazon, which makes the CPU effectively around $140 for buyers who already have a motherboard and RAM.
GrandmasterBBC PhuongN1949
A 7600X open-box price of $127 was cited as the best alternative, but this bundle was still preferred at $185 because it includes the AIO. It was also raised as a possible AM5 upgrade path from a 5800X, especially if you already have 32GB of DDR5.
DealDady BoastfulDirt1475
The code appears to be expired. Checkout is reportedly showing $199 plus tax instead of the advertised $185 bundle price.
noapparentfunction
The MSI Coreliquid line has reported durability concerns, including multiple units dying and needing warranty replacements. That makes the cooler bundle less attractive if you are buying mainly for the AIO rather than the CPU.

AIO is currently $60 on Amazon according to another thread. Make this a $140 cpu. Not bad if you already have the ram and mobo.

14600k vs 9600x what you guys think?

14600k is better at multi thread workload but Intel's overclock/overvolt really killed quite a bit of them, I'd say after the BIOS downgrade, it's like -10% performance. Make sure you get your 14600K brand new from a legit source, and update the BIOS so your new 14600K won't die in a year. And if you have like 32GB+ left over DDR4 sticks and dont mind of -10% performance when comparing to DDR5, then buy a DDR4 board to go with 14600K will still work. Just FYI, DDR5 prices went up like 5x~10x, we are still in RAMageddon right now. No thanks to Open AI.

9600x if you want to bet on a chance to upgrade to Ryzen 9 10950X3D2 24cores 48 threads in the future.

I am personally using 9600x from the newegg Black Friday 2025 deal. 65W TDP is cool but most of the time CPU can use 105W. 105W is not hot, it's still cool.

For context, the BEST price on a 7600x I could get was $127 for an open box at microcenter. I think I'm going to get this instead.
