Ok your account number is just your GV phone number and your pin is your "call to listen" pin that you set up in the settings of GV. You first have to pay $3 to unlock the GV number.

Porting and failed attempts to order the phone. FYI if you go through the last step and Metro reserved the number you are porting in. But you failed, their payment screen and your order did not go through. Be advised that that number(s) that you attempted to port (no atter how many different phone numbers) are locked in Metro Port Reservation. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THAT NUMBER to process new order using that same # until you call Metro and ask to be transferred over to the porting department and ask them to delete the port. You will also not be able to port it anywhere else until they delete the port reservation. So, all you folks that tried to process a zillion orders after your initial order failed it will never work (even if you fix why your payment didn't go through) until YOU CALL METRO to fix your PORT. With all that said the port dept will want to verify you and the easiest way is for them to send you a SMS to your metro phone so your you don't have a Metro phone working well welcome to the struggle bus have a seat and relax your gong to be on the phone with Metro for some time. Please know this address multiple attempts at porting the same phone number not all the other reasons orders fail on the payment screen. All I can say on that one is , Don't use VPN, don't use discover, don't use a virtual number, wait 48 not 24 hours for your last order attempt to clear out of their system and if you are a religious person…pray

The short version, you must call Metro to make sure any/all the number(s) you are porting over that previously succeed Port Reservation but failed Payment are not locked now to metro reservation once locked to metro they will not work with a new order or another wireless company. This deal is killing me softly, now I remember why I avoided Metro for so long

Since google voice and visible won't work anymore, what's the cheapest way to port in for metro nowadays?

EDIT: after reading the comments on this thread, I see that many people are reporting that a google voice number can be ported over to metro again (like the good old days).

It happened to me with Chrome. I switched to IE Edge and ordered again. It finally went through. Make sure you see the website checking the availability of your porting number during checkout. If you do not see this step, the ordering process will fail.

After speaking with Chase, I learned that the despite me filling out the secure payment forms twice and providing a Chase business credit card each time, Metro did not submit the card to Chase.
So, question for all you wise ones: Do you think Metro is more likely to do the transaction if a debit card is presented, instead of credit card? Or, has anyone had Amex or Discover credit cards go through without glitches?

I'm assuming if you want to get more lines under the same account for the cheaper price, then you have to be able to login?

Yes. Also if you want it unlocked eventually you need to activate the phone.

It looks like Lyca is T Mobile. I thought this deal does not work with T Mobile MVNOs.
Lyca was using T-Mobile, but for about 6 months it has been on AT&T

This was the most infuriating process with trying to secure the deal. Wasted $10 on numberbarn and $3 on Google voice. Still no luck.
Do you already have a T-Mobile account? If so, did you try signing up using a different email than that for your T-Mobile account?

Can i activate the phone if im not in the US?
Also, can i just not activate it at all? I just want the unlocked phone i dont care about the 1 month service.
The phone will be auto activated after 2 weeks of delivery even if you don't open the box and keep it sealed and eventually get unlocked after 1 year. Tried this inside US but not outside, should be the same.
