Ok your account number is just your GV phone number and your pin is your "call to listen" pin that you set up in the settings of GV. You first have to pay $3 to unlock the GV number.

Porting and failed attempts to order the phone. FYI if you go through the last step and Metro reserved the number you are porting in. But you failed, their payment screen and your order did not go through. Be advised that that number(s) that you attempted to port (no atter how many different phone numbers) are locked in Metro Port Reservation. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THAT NUMBER to process new order using that same # until you call Metro and ask to be transferred over to the porting department and ask them to delete the port. You will also not be able to port it anywhere else until they delete the port reservation. So, all you folks that tried to process a zillion orders after your initial order failed it will never work (even if you fix why your payment didn't go through) until YOU CALL METRO to fix your PORT. With all that said the port dept will want to verify you and the easiest way is for them to send you a SMS to your metro phone so your you don't have a Metro phone working well welcome to the struggle bus have a seat and relax your gong to be on the phone with Metro for some time. Please know this address multiple attempts at porting the same phone number not all the other reasons orders fail on the payment screen. All I can say on that one is , Don't use VPN, don't use discover, don't use a virtual number, wait 48 not 24 hours for your last order attempt to clear out of their system and if you are a religious person…pray

The short version, you must call Metro to make sure any/all the number(s) you are porting over that previously succeed Port Reservation but failed Payment are not locked now to metro reservation once locked to metro they will not work with a new order or another wireless company. This deal is killing me softly, now I remember why I avoided Metro for so long

For those of you having the fraud screen, do this -

Use a VPN
Different credit card #
Add a fake apartment # to your address (if you live in a house)

This has worked for me in the past.

I tried to order a second line. At the end, I got a message to call Metro support. Called support and they said to talk to the porting department. The porting department said they reset everything and to try again.
I tried a second time and got the same error message to call support.
If I get the right person in Support, are they able to process the second line? One of the posts in this thread said to try talking to the Sales department. Other posts said not to bother since I go the "call Support" message.
Just wanted to know the best course of action.

I called the metro support number at one point, trying to resolve it. They put me on hold without asking me after they tried to resubmit the anew order (so $55 instead of $30), and never came back. I would make sure to call the porting dept and make sure your line is released (if you plan on using the same number to port in) before you attempt to order through sales.

How does the discount on a second line work? If I were to pick a different phone once I've got my first one activated, do I need to buy the same $55 plan to get the discount? And it gets a $25 discount for being a second line? So I can get that amount of discount with any phone? (And of course the difference will be that some phones have a cost for the phone itself).
When you already have 1 activated $55 line on your account, when you try to add a second line, it will automatically change the price of the second line to $30 during checkout so you can use that to get the free iPhone 13 for $30 on the second line. HOWEVER, there are many reports including myself of not being able to complete the order because of an error message at the end of the process and so the theory is that they are no longer allowing you to get a second line for $30 with the free phone.

Ahh, thank you! If that's the case, it's good to know if I consider looking for a second deal.

Anyone having issues trying to log in their account today? Every time I put in my Metro number to go next screen to input my PIN it keeps giving me an error on top that says "Sorry, but we were unable to save your changes. Please try again.". Don't know if it is on their end or what is this glitch?

Make sure you just Google metro by T-Mobile and go thru the main page and not the link they sent to your email. I was able to log in just now.

I am getting this text message from lycalmobile when trying to port out. Any ideas?
"Pursuant to your request, the termination with 0xxxxxxx number portability will be performed"
Each time Metro tries to pull the port out information with account number and pin, Lycamoble sends a text notification.

Based on difficulty ordering as a 1st-time customer, difficulty porting, and then difficulty activating - overall (the website being so flaky), I suppose Metro is to TMo what Tracfone is to Verizon.

I had this problem. Used firefox and it worked. A bunch of other browsers did not work.

Their site can be wonky. I couldn't get in the other night. The rep on the phone said to use the app and if that let you in than it's the site acting up.

I have a similar scenario. Used different address to which I had never used before. Have you been able to order even one phone? My first order itself didn't go through.
Called Customer Service. Was on the line for 1.5 hours before I got hold of a person. Trx was simple and fast. He asked me if the porting is a GV#. I said yes and gave him the acc# & pin. He asked if I tried online to which I said yes but it wouldn't let be port. He did it for me within 5 mins and gave me the order confirmation. Note: Please keep the zip code of the location tied to GV# handy.

I'm actually using a legit ATT line to port. Port works, but transaction declined for security. May give it a shot and give them a call later.

My fellow "phone trader" and I are old-time programmers. We joke with each other that the TF programmers moonlight at Metro.

Did happen to me... I was using Chase bank (visa). Switched to Apple card (Master Card) and it worked.
