Ok your account number is just your GV phone number and your pin is your "call to listen" pin that you set up in the settings of GV. You first have to pay $3 to unlock the GV number.

Porting and failed attempts to order the phone. FYI if you go through the last step and Metro reserved the number you are porting in. But you failed, their payment screen and your order did not go through. Be advised that that number(s) that you attempted to port (no atter how many different phone numbers) are locked in Metro Port Reservation. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THAT NUMBER to process new order using that same # until you call Metro and ask to be transferred over to the porting department and ask them to delete the port. You will also not be able to port it anywhere else until they delete the port reservation. So, all you folks that tried to process a zillion orders after your initial order failed it will never work (even if you fix why your payment didn't go through) until YOU CALL METRO to fix your PORT. With all that said the port dept will want to verify you and the easiest way is for them to send you a SMS to your metro phone so your you don't have a Metro phone working well welcome to the struggle bus have a seat and relax your gong to be on the phone with Metro for some time. Please know this address multiple attempts at porting the same phone number not all the other reasons orders fail on the payment screen. All I can say on that one is , Don't use VPN, don't use discover, don't use a virtual number, wait 48 not 24 hours for your last order attempt to clear out of their system and if you are a religious person…pray

The short version, you must call Metro to make sure any/all the number(s) you are porting over that previously succeed Port Reservation but failed Payment are not locked now to metro reservation once locked to metro they will not work with a new order or another wireless company. This deal is killing me softly, now I remember why I avoided Metro for so long

For those of you having the fraud screen, do this -

Use a VPN
Different credit card #
Add a fake apartment # to your address (if you live in a house)

This has worked for me in the past.

Called Customer Service. Was on the line for 1.5 hours before I got hold of a person. Trx was simple and fast. He asked me if the porting is a GV#. I said yes and gave him the acc# & pin. He asked if I tried online to which I said yes but it wouldn't let be port. He did it for me within 5 mins and gave me the order confirmation. Note: Please keep the zip code of the location tied to GV# handy.
Thanks. What was your issue earlier? Was the port failing? Or did you get a security issue at the last step? For me the port check was fine. But on clicking place order, the system blocked me for some reason. I don't know if that can be fixed by the agents by calling in.

Just so I'm getting this right, purchase the $55/ Month Unlimited Prepaid Plan for 1 month only for $55 (or $50 w/ autopay) and we can cancel the plan afterward. The phone will be locked to the carrier for 1 year but can be unlocked in 365 days without needing it on a plan?

Any issues with using the phone on a different but supported carrier during those first 365 days?

What "different but supported carrier"? It can only work with Metro during the first 365 days.

If anyone needs the direct number to the portability department, it's 800-518-7519. I've had to call them several times due to my order not going through.

Why would my order not be shipped yet? It says "order received" and that the "shipping" date was Thursday (2/26) -- but it hasn't shipped yet as of more than 24 hours later on 2/27. Is that normal, or does it signify a holdup with the porting? Even though it let me place the order?

I think its the wonkiness of their site and IT, and not whether we use Visa, MC, Discover, Amex, etc.
As far as browsers go, I seemed to experience more dead ends on Chrome than on Firefox. But Firefox still ran into dead ends, i.e. their site/IT is temperamental.

Any one has been able to place the 3rd order recently? I just go my 2nd one. Want to get another if it is still viable. Otherwise, I will save some energy. Thanks!

I've attempted to order a third phone, but all my attempts have failed, even when using different credit cards.

For getting a number to port from Lyca at $5, do I just chose eSim option and checkout to get the number? Do I need to put the eSim info in any eSim capable phone?

You can start a completely new account. But if you've already tried to port your number and aren't succeeding it might already be blocked from the system for online ordering.

Choose esim checkout and pay. They will send confirmation email with QR code to set up number to your phone.
