Ok your account number is just your GV phone number and your pin is your "call to listen" pin that you set up in the settings of GV. You first have to pay $3 to unlock the GV number.

Porting and failed attempts to order the phone. FYI if you go through the last step and Metro reserved the number you are porting in. But you failed, their payment screen and your order did not go through. Be advised that that number(s) that you attempted to port (no atter how many different phone numbers) are locked in Metro Port Reservation. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THAT NUMBER to process new order using that same # until you call Metro and ask to be transferred over to the porting department and ask them to delete the port. You will also not be able to port it anywhere else until they delete the port reservation. So, all you folks that tried to process a zillion orders after your initial order failed it will never work (even if you fix why your payment didn't go through) until YOU CALL METRO to fix your PORT. With all that said the port dept will want to verify you and the easiest way is for them to send you a SMS to your metro phone so your you don't have a Metro phone working well welcome to the struggle bus have a seat and relax your gong to be on the phone with Metro for some time. Please know this address multiple attempts at porting the same phone number not all the other reasons orders fail on the payment screen. All I can say on that one is , Don't use VPN, don't use discover, don't use a virtual number, wait 48 not 24 hours for your last order attempt to clear out of their system and if you are a religious person…pray

The short version, you must call Metro to make sure any/all the number(s) you are porting over that previously succeed Port Reservation but failed Payment are not locked now to metro reservation once locked to metro they will not work with a new order or another wireless company. This deal is killing me softly, now I remember why I avoided Metro for so long

Since google voice and visible won't work anymore, what's the cheapest way to port in for metro nowadays?

EDIT: after reading the comments on this thread, I see that many people are reporting that a google voice number can be ported over to metro again (like the good old days).

Transferring Metro account to an esim?

I want to transfer my Metro account/number to a different phone before I trade in the 13. Just realized none of my old phones have esim! BUT the Pixel 10a that arrives today DOES have esim.

I've never used esim or two phone lines on one phone before. It looks like the 10a has a physical sim and esim. Any reason I shouldn't put my physical Red Pocket sim card in the new 10a AND also activate a metro by t-mobile esim? Will it cause any problems for my main phone line (the RP sim)?

Just ordered one of these using a GV number. $55 flat, delivery expected Friday.

I wasn't able to do it online. I got all the way to the payment and it said I had to call. The rep said it had to do with the address on my card having those last 4 digits. He asked if I could change that in my bank settings but I just used another card, no problem.

This frees up my main phone to record video and this can be used as an intermediary to my drone.

If your 10a is unlocked, you should be able to transfer service from the Metro i13 to the 10a's eSIM.
Since you haven't used a phone with two lines on it before, here are some tips:
. Both the pSIM and the eSIM will be active at the same time and can receive calls. Assign different ringtones to each SIM so it's easier to tell which line is ringing.
. Use the SIM Manager function in Settings to designate which SIM is the default for outgoing calls. You can change this anytime.
. Designate the line with more/unlimited Data as the default SIM for Data usage.
On my Samsung S24, I have a Tracfone (Verizon) pSIM and a Stand-Up (T-mo) eSIM. It's convenient to have two lines on one phone.

Is your TF number on Verizon or T-mobile? If it's on Verizon, it should get the discount.
Verizon. And numbers from numberbarn also have no discount.

When porting in a number from Tracfone, I only needed to give Metro the port-in phone number, account number, port PIN, and zip code tied to that number. No name, no address, no billing number. I ordered an i13 shipped to my address in Kansas, and port-in an Arizona phone number, zip code that a friend gave me. Worked just fine.
Thank you. Thought so

Cool, thank you! Deleting the esim off my phone in a month won't cause any hiccups with my regular service/psim, right? I don't plan on using the esim number for anything at all, I just want to keep access to my Metro account for the 30 days before I let it expire.

I got my iphone 13 from Metro a couple of weeks ago. It is locked for a year.

However, I purchased an MKSD RSIM and that allowed me to use a non-metro sim. Not sure if I can mention other sites but you can do a google search and it will tell you where these are available.

So is there any issue with Metro in terms of transferring the Metro eSIM to another phone? That does not violate any rules that will prevent the Metro phone from unlocking in a year? It would make it easier to use up the data I got for my month with Metro.

Thank you again. Were you able to complete the port when you received the phone? I keep reading how a tracfone number is a problem as it stops as soon as metro initiates the port and is difficult to complete once you have the phone in hand. I have a tracfone number to use so any updates would be very helpful. Thank you

Tried adding a tablet but last step failed after credit card. Received the protection prompt. I tried calling and using 3 different cards and no luck. They suggested to try the store. Anyone run into the same issue?

Switch device won't affect anything. Once you login to your account, there is the option, just put in the new IMEI, done in 30s.

I transferred service from my two i13 in this deals to two inactive Metro S25FEs that I bought last November. No negative effects. Metro mainly wants you to pay for a plan when you get a discounted phone. They don't care which phone you use that plan with. I did the transfer with Metro phones I bought in past years and they all got unlocked on schedule.

Deleting an eSIM won't affect the pSIM.
