For the first plates listed above (the grip plates) the photos on the Walmart website show a silver plate with three gripping areas, but the description says black plates with two grips. Does anyone know what you will actually receive if you order?

They also have a 1" 4-Pack 5 lb set (1" Signature Fitness Cast Iron Weight Plates - Black with Silver Numbers) for $12.99, which isn't bad if you need some filler weights (or you just to make the free shipping work). I don't see that set listed in this SD for some reason, for the 1".

OP please post more deals for the bar and 1 lbs. I'm not strong enough for these yet. Also need recommendations to work on my rolls, buns, & muffin top
I think that current evidence shows that removing fat is primarily about your diet. Counterintuitively, burning calories through exercise doesn't have much direct impact. Going from being sedentary to doing some exercise can make a difference. But the key point is once you are doing any exercise, there are greatly diminishing returns from increasing volume or intensity. And exercise doesn't really target any fat specifically either.

That being said, exercise indirectly benefits your fat loss efforts because it makes your body work better in general. A major example would be the junk released in our bodies due to everyday stress. That stuff is meant to help us fight an animal, not worry about completing a report on time. Exercise helps us properly use that "fight or flight" energy. Otherwise, it can gradually causes problems like unwanted weight gain.

Assuming I'm remembering the details correctly, if your goal is weight loss, focus your discipline on your diet. For exercise, your primary goal should be to find activities that are motivating. Things that will keep you coming back. For some, that's something intense like CrossFit, weightlifting, or training for a 5k. But for many others, talking walks out in sun and occasionally doing a comfortable amount of push ups is the better choice long term.

TL;DR: Diet for weight loss. Exercise to help your body work correctly.

(This post is about fat loss, not aesthetics. Fat loss is a major component of aesthetics, but not everything. Exercise does play a major role in how your body looks overall.)

I just use them for the bottom of a crab pot, but this really is an awesome price and the rubber coating is great for preventing rust underwater. Cheaper than any fishing weights!

This is a pair, it's usually this price for one. For the longest time $1/lb was the going rate. This is just over half that.

It's not bad but the pulleys aren't adjustable up and down and only single pulley anchor point for lat pull down or low row. With a dual adjustable pulley system like the one I linked, you can do things like chest flys and have each side set up with different weights so you can alternate between two different exercizes easily.
