I use these and they are great. And they look great in the fridge. But I advise hand washing or getting the glass ones if you don't want to do that. That plastic doesn't hold up in the dishwasher over a long time. Starts to get spiderweb cracking.

Rubbermaid will not sell you the lids once they do begin to wear. I have the glass ones and they are my favorite storage containers ever. EXCEPT the lids do eventually crack and then bust entirely. I am going to buy this set because it looks like I can get four of the lids I need for this price. Yes, it is worth it as they really are that great. Sucks Rubbermaid won't just make the lids available.

we've had these over a year. my experience is nothing like all these negative comments. the plastic is still crystal clear despite constant dishwashing, microwaving and storing stuff like soups and left over whatever, Italian included.

I was VERY skeptical when my wife bought these because of all the moving parts, the squishy seals - seemed like so much could go wrong and I can say with confidence a year in, we've broke none and they are all like brand new.

Does make me wonder what kind of absolute torture other people do to their stuff though, lol. Like we just cook food... put leftovers in them in fridge for up to a week... eat or dump... wash... rinse... repeat. are we weird? lol

For us they tend to deteriorate about 5 years into use, which is still pretty great.

Rubbermaid even warranties them in my experience. As others have done, we transitioned to the glass ones which don't stack quite as nicely, but are a better option for reheating in my opinion.
