Anyone have a good recommendation for a wired option? I have a pellet smoker now but the probes on the pitboss seem way off so wanted a 3rd party option that isn't like this type here since these seem to fail quite often.

I have this. Works great. Only issue I have is if I'm cooking chicken and it's not that thick. Because of how the sensor works it needs to be in pretty far, so I have to put multiple pieces on at once which is a bit weird.

I would reach out to pitboss, I've had mine for a while and every time the sensors were off they either sent me sensors or a new control board which fixed the issue, no hassle. Definitely are accurate when they work though
I got this one at the same price in September. I have used many times and it works great, highly recommend it and bieve me, I have a lot of grills and wireless thermometer and this wine works ever time and battery lasts a long time

You can do either, phone app (which is pretty good) or you can use the charging base without the app (or a combo of both).
