I grew up on Kraft, I remember my mother using it to make BBQ chicken or pork chops, which we had a couple times a month. It used to come in a glass bottle like ketchup back then. Most people now like the Sweet Baby Rays as it now accounts for over 36% of all BBQ sauce purchased in the United States. Kraft only has around 7% of the BBQ sales, but at one time, it was the best selling BBQ sauce in the world.

The reason Sweet Baby Ray's became so successful, is because the creator knew something very smart about American appetites. He figured out that Americans were turning more and more to sweeter and more sugary foods. So as he was competing in BBQ competitions, his brother and him decided to increase the sugar content greatly and see how people liked it. It began winning competitions and the rest is history.

I have tried about all the sauces on the market and I admit Sweet Baby Rays does taste good. I also like Staubs and a few others. However, I will always prefer Kraft, not because it has less sugar and calories, but because its what I grew up on, and we all still chase those tastes, smells and experiences of our childhood. When I make BBQ chicken with stove top stuffing and boxed Kraft Mac & Cheese, then wash it down with some grape Kool Aid, my childhood and memories of my mom come rushing back. I think l will cook that meal this week, its been a while!

anyone trashing this product needs to realize most customers are dipping microwaved tendies in this. Not going to BBQ cook offs with it. There's a time and a place for this stuff.

$0.99 often at local supermarkets in northeast, including Shoprite this week (I go shopping every week to shop so free delivery means little to me)

Umm... Thanks for sharing something that doesn't really affect anyone in the world but you. I guess?
