I have this monitor for work - it's a good monitor. However, it requires a pixel refresh that takes a few minutes every 4-6 hours of continuous use which could be a nuisance for some

I got mine for $383.99 + tax from Amazon on 11/20. It was open-box but everything works great. I have never seen it below $500 brand new outside of AMEX offers or similar.

Paid it $600 basically when it came out and it's just an amazing monitor. Going on 2 years almost. Night and day with any of my other non oled, I can't see ghosting nothing

Just a slight caveat with this deal:

Adaptive-Sync Technology: AMD FreeSync Premium Pro

For those of you using Nvidia graphics card, the model AW3423DW may be more desirable since it has Nvidia's Gsync instead. The AMD Freesync will work with any brand graphics card though may not be as good as dedicated hardware Gsync.

Otherwise, fantastic monitor. It does require a 7-minute screen refresh every 4 hours of usage. Slightly annoying at first but you learn to adapt to it quickly.

I've got this monitor and you don't have to do the refresh every 4 hours, that message can be disabled in the OSD settings and then it'll happen when the monitor powers off/goes to sleep. It's also interruptible so you're not stuck with an unusable monitor if you let it go to sleep in the middle of the day. It'll simply pop up a message saying it didn't complete.

You can enable gsync on this monitor via the nvidia control panel and it applies down to 48hz. If you're routinely below 48fps, you may want to consider a lower resolution monitor in general. It supports gsync, Dell just opted to not pay for certification so it isn't certified/branded "gsync compatible." I personally wouldn't consider paying $100-200 more for the native gsync model DW version as there are very few differences otherwise.

Thanks for this. 7 min refresh every 4-6hrs is a no-go for me. I can't be on a customer call then tell the customer "hold please while my screen refreshes for seven minutes". I always wondered how oled monitors would work in an office environment and today I just found out. Thanks.

Is this not ultrawide? It looks like it's ultrawide, but it doesn't say that.

tough to work on. very very good for games and movies. browsing and ms office font is ok, but code and charts are difficult due to colored fonts. The fringing makes me feel like i am seeing double letters. Puts literal tears in my eyes. Ofcourse i can change these things but its such a hassle to maintain across different tools. Also, we share screens with colleagues very often and they will not have these changes. i am waiting for the rgb stripe qd-oleds. yeah they will be 900 but atleast i wont be crying.

it is not "required" you can turn it off or only do it once the PC is off

I purchased this one and the Acer Predator X34 X5 certified refurb from Ebay Acer seller and ended up keeping the Acer. To me it was the hdmi2.1 built in speakers and the colors seem to pop more on the Acer. Its also 240Hz where this one is 165Hz. The Acer is also more console friendly from my experience. I believe it's back in stock for $479. I did end up picking up an additional 32 VA Acer qhd refurb as well for $100 bucks for my school and work. I use the other one for my gaming and media consumption. That said this monitor is beautiful as well, I just liked the Predator more.
