It use to be that if you registered tool for the lifetime warranty, that any batteries also bundled with that tool had the lifetime warranty. Is that still the case?

There's only 50 left at this price. If you needed a 3/4 drive impact, then this is a steal. Even if you didn't need a 3/4 drive, you could always use an adapter to drop it down to 1/2 inch drive.

Ridgid doesn't have a lifetime warranty....it's a lifetime service agreement. It's a name, but it has a big difference legally.

Pretty much, if something should happen that they deem appropriate to fix (and there are exclusions), then you have to take the tool to an "authorized service center". Usually they're a tool repair shop that's been blessed by the Ridgid powers that be. Sometimes that repair shop is a shifty, slimy two-bit business that'll take forever and not a good job. So then you have to argue with Ridgid the tool wasn't fixed right.

And if you're not near one of those "authorized disrepair centers"? Too bad. Drive to them. Many won't accept mail-in repairs...and for those that do, you'll be paying far more than the value of a replacement when you factor in shipping (or fuel + time if you drive).

(A "warranty" is a legal term that has very specific legal meanings, especially depending on where you are located.)

To answer your question and to add some things.

Yes it is STILL the case that batteries bundled also get a Ridgid Lifetime Service Agreement (LSA).
But batteries themselves (not in a bundle) NOW also can be LSA.
Ridgid started that for at least 2 years now. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6SWpNKUDRA for more.

Ridgid also started something they call Service Direct. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDYaHMDoXrI
This means that you can ship tools (and batteries*) to them.
Ridgid will cover the shipping, you will have to box up the item and put on a shipping label on it (and will have to drop it off to a UPS of FedEx).

But you HAVE to register the items and register the replacement items (if they send you a replacement) for this to happen.

* Batteries for me are weird. Sometimes they will have you to ship the battery to them and other times they will just send you a replacement and tell you to recycle the bad battery.

All battery purchases now qualify, not just bundles.

This is inaccurate, it used to be that way and I had to drive an hour to the nearest Home Depot with a tool center. Now you can set up tool repairs through the website and they will provide you with a prepaid label to send it in. For batteries and chargers you have to call them and they will just send you the replacement.

YMMV, I guess. I have to bring tools to a local repair shop that is not depot. I can otherwise pay to ship them to TTI. The local shop is over an hour each way for me.

For me, it was around 2.5 hours each way.

By the time I got done with two round trips (time, fuel, lost wages) for maybe getting it repaired (that repair shop had horrid reviews), I'd be so much in the hole cost-wise, I'd be just better off trashing the broken tool and buying a new one at MSRP. The repair shop refused to even accept mail-in tools, even 100% at my cost.

The LSA is a scheme of diminishing returns, and shouldn't factor into the equation of which tool to buy.
