Careful read those reviews ..... these things are dying and their replacements are having the same issue.

Quality control issues with these units, buyer beware

Carefully read the reviews for all electronic nose/ear trimmers. They are junk, regardless of the company who makes them. You are paying $15-20 to use this device for hopefully 9-12 months if that. They are completely disposable
Here is the review summary for Panasonic's best trimmer on Amazon, 2 year warranty, $40 - "Customers report significant durability issues with the hair trimmer, noting that it broke within a month, died after a week, or lasted less than a year."

The blades an these things just plain don't work well. Those $4.99 Panasonic trimmers you get from TJ Maxx are 100x better. It's a rare miss from Philips. They usually make good stuff.

I don't really pluck but I use tiny scissors but real question.. has there ever been one that actually works? I have like 3 and all they seem to do is tickle the inside of my nose and that's about it.

Plucking increases the chance infection in an area that has a lot of blood vessels and is hard to get to. It's rare for it to be serious tho.

Get this one... I've tried Philips and Panasonic and this one beats them all:
