I like this drill. Weight with 2A battery about same as Milwaukee m12. But clutch not as gentle as in Milwaukee or Bosch 12v

I really like my Rigid drill/driver. No expert, but it does great with DIY around the house & garage.

Ridgid power tools are pretty much the same internals as Milwaukee power tools, just in a different body. I still prefer the Milwaukee, because of its build quality.

This may be perfect timing. I have a Ridgid drill and impact driver. One of the batteries just died (my set is well over 10 years old) and the battery is still the same. I could get a subcompact driver and two batteries for $10 more than the cost of one 2AH 18V battery.

Is this the same deal, minus one battery, that was posted a bit back for $58?

Did you register for the LSA? I think the batteries are covered.

Older batteries were covered if they came with a kit only. I had similar vintage pair that they replaced over the phone a few years ago just by explaining they won't hold charge. I did have a defective one out of the box last year that just took awhile to get around to getting replaced, and that one they did make me send back to get exchanged for new one.

I still have a full rigid brushed set from 2018 that is doing amazing. Is the jump to brushless worth it or just keep going until the tools die?

Apparently I didn't. I have an account but zero products registered so I'm guessing I dropped the ball at some point.
