I could see some value if they can write prescriptions. If they can't write prescriptions then I see no value at all.
Can't agree here, I think this is useful when you want some guidance if you need to see a vet or not. Getting some professional advice if what you're concerned about it is minor and can be dealt with at home without a $100+ vet visit has a lot of value to me. I'm not sure even if I go for telehealth, which I'm not a fan of for myself, that I want some strange face in Cleveland writing me prescriptions based on my verbal description without a physical examination.

People are misdiagnosed all the time in person in ER's and what not (sent home when they have appendicitis for instance). I'm sure the error rate over time with video chat visits will be much higher. So a cat or a dog that can't even talk, who relies on your input, can't be much better in that respect.

Used this before - they can't provide any prescription medication so the usefulness is greatly stunted - imagine doing human online telehealth knowing they can't prescribe any medication or order any tests. You probably wouldn't even both trying. Furthermore if there's ANY actual risk with what you're asking about they'll refer you to an in person vet due to liability.

I'm not sure what the continuing use case is for this - I can understand why they've partnered with Wal Mart to try and drum up business...

well it sounds totally useless, thanks for the post.
I know when an animal needs to see a vet, what I would want is a script for like ear mites or something simple. If they can't scribe anything then it is useless to me
Thanks
