No, it just doesn't work all that great sometimes.

Do you know what HDMI-CEC is?
Really? What's your point? HDMI-CEC doesn't replace the functionality of an entire remote.

Why would this be needed? Just turn on HDMI-CEC and get the same benefit for free!
Not everyone's devices support HDMI-CEC. For instance, I use an old Yamaha receiver that doesn't even have HDMI...

No, but I bought my Fire TV 4k long before Chromecast 4k was out and before the much better Onn 4k box was released. I still kept the Fire Stick. No reason to throw it away. You can still sideload apps and it has way better app selection than Roku which I think is only good if you're using basic streaming apps like Netflix or Disney Plus.

I have a couple of questions maybe someone can help me with. My current setup at home is: 1. An LG TV, 2 a Sony HT receiver, Fire Stick, Dish DVR and a Panasonic 4k player, all going into 5.1 speakers. The TV and receiver are about 6 years old. Currently, I am running everything with a Harmony Hub. I like the hub, it runs everything perfectly. I've got it set up with macros. Push 1 button to watch TV or stream or watch a disc and it turns everything on, sets the inputs and runs all the equipment with 1 remote. It works well and I am not wanting to replace it. I know the hub is older tech and I know that Logitech quit supporting these years ago. If my hub would die, would this replace it as well?

This is a $10 four device remote. How do you expect it to do what a Harmony hub can do? This can only do simple commands for each device individually.

No, don't think so.

Side note: If you are going on a cruise, a universal remote can be very handy. The cruise ship remote typically doesn't have an input button. If you want to connect your computer to the TV via HDMI, you can't change the input without a universal remote.

I doubted that it could and figured it was probably too good to be true, which is why I asked. I am nervous about my hub dying since it is getting pretty old and have been searching for something in case it did. Any ideas?

Harmony is no longer supported, and my Harmony hubs have finally stopped working. I have switched to Sofa Baton which is a limited substitute.

I keep a fire stick in my travel bag, and this would be great for hotel TVs.
You are going to carry a universal remote for travel?
