Actually this deal should be more clearly phrased $180 for 1 yr of unlimited of plan with A16, or $200 for 1 yr of unlimited plan with A17, prepaid.

I have the A16 5g, and it can simply not multitask due to the low ram ( 4gb ). I tried to go open Notes to get info to copy/paste for the browser, and by the time I switch back to the browser ( which is 15 seconds at the most ) the entire page has to be reloaded and I lose the form. If they had included just a little more ram, it would've been more than a usable phone. It's a real shame.

Mint is notorious for playing hardball with customers...a somewhat similar situation happened to me last year....

Meh… It's free at Metro-by-Tmobile and requires only one month of plan for $55. Unlock in 1 year though. Also check the reviews of A17, it's pretty lame.

How much ram does your phone got ?
It has 4GB RAM, Yesterday only I unboxed it & line activated which went smoothly I called Mint CS using my landline phone & he only ask me the 20 digits under the bar code on back of sim kit card & thats it just a few seconds he gave me my new number but you can also keep your old no. NOTE: insert SIM card before turning your phone on, for Online Activation you need the ACT CODE which you can find at back of the Card & the IMEI you can find on the box.

People with resources and a dash of humility do not buy such entry level models regardless of the deal. Perhaps aim fora flagship and then re-try the flex.
Situational for sure. I myself have a 2008 Motorola razr, I still play snake

8gb ram boost???
Almost certainly. There's no way an MVNO is selling an 8GB RAM phone for so cheap with 60-day unlock and $180/year service plan.

I don't know if the price for the data plan is good or not, but I will not be buying the device here. Purchased A16 last year as a gift for someone who just wanted to browse social media and take some photographs, and this device sucked at both. Such a slow device.
