Before you buy wzye cams, just go to youtube and look at "current pro reviews and user reviews". Then read some of the 1 star reviews current on amazon or else where. Then at least you go into it with your expectations in check.
Tapo seems to be brand that doesn't really need a subscription , and has newer tech in it. Wzye or other brands have improved over the last few years, so research and enjoy the ride.
Wyze Cam OG comparison to the Wyze Cam v3:
Key Upgrades in OG:
• 50% faster loading - Live HD video loads significantly quicker than v3
• Built-in spotlight - The OG includes an integrated spotlight, while v3 requires a separate spotlight accessory
• Picture-in-Picture support - Can view two OG cameras simultaneously on one screen
• Stackable design - Compatible with Wyze Cam OG Telephoto for 3X zoom capability
• Bluetooth setup - Easier installation without QR code scanning
What's Different:
• Field of view: OG has 121° vs v3's 130° (slightly narrower)
• Cam Plus Lite: v3 includes free Cam Plus Lite, while OG requires a paid subscription for advanced features
• Size: v3 is slightly more compact with a smaller mount
What's the Same:
• Both have 1080p resolution and color night vision
• IP65 weather resistance for indoor/outdoor use
• 2-way audio and motion detection
• Compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant
Based on customer feedback, many prefer the OG for its faster performance and built-in spotlight, though some note the v3's free Cam Plus Lite and wider field of view as advantages.
Now, its been a long while since I did this, so I am unsure if RTSP support still exists or if it is part of the normal stream of firmware updates.

mostly my first post was to tell the guys to research what is available NOW, and new features ... I did and switched from wzye to tapo, it is KING of the budget market, with 2k camera's for just a couple of dollars more than 15 dollars, with no need to get subscription and fits 516gb microsd cards, and other features.
Just research before you buy. And then if you decide to buy this wyze camera after your research... go for it and enjoy it.
here is what I just bought of tapo brand:

Let me make my POINT VERY CLEAR. If you don't want to pay for paid subscription, read my posts again, ... if you ENJOYING paid subscription, get wyze.
p.s. I like TAPO now because you don't need subscription to get pet, person detection, and other AI features, it is FREE and Wyze is NOT FREE. I like FREE.

p.s. I just checked, ...yeah they paused the ban to investigate more, but if they did a ban, you can use the tapo on RTSP and other apps that are not tied to TP-link servers. And TAPO already has firmware that does give the ability to do it, Right now I have my TAPO on tinycam pro ... . In either case, thanks for providing important info, still investigating.
