IF anything, it can be considered a downgrade in a way because while the 9 and 9a use the same Tensor 4 cpu, like most all of their flagship / a phones. While the Pixel 10 uses the new Tensor 5 though, the 10a now is left behind. Stuck with the same older Tensor 4 chip as the 9s.
Also BTW, Google hoes still asking $499 for the 9a too.

I got excited, but the device is literally the Google Pixel 8 in all its specs. So for me not worth the 300$
Need the ability to unlock bootloader.
The cameras on the Samsung are fantastic. If you take a picture of a full moon on a Pixel, it looks like a streetlight...if you take it with the Samsung 100x zoom...you can literally see the craters on the moon. It's amazing.
The Pixel advantage WAS their picture editing with the magic eraser to make randos disappear. But now every phone can do that with AI. Personally I don't think the Pixels have advanced enough to make it worth it. Even the comments in this thread are saying the 8 is like the 9 which is like the 10...which means they're all the same. I'd stick with a new Samsung.
(but I do miss my Swype feature for typing on Pixel, that was fantastic and just kept getting better. Samsung has it, but it is terrible)
For your initial question, go through the Checkout on the Fi store. YOUR math makes sense, but put it in your cart and see if it works. They might say there's only one discount per order. The coupon OR the credit. I've tried playing their games before and they always win. Good luck!

google can eat the cost. its a worthless feature gimmick.
all people want is the camera to be good or almost as good as the best then ram and cpu decent battery. screen itself ok. priorities. idiots keep focusing on gimmicks to jack prices up.

If you do 4 iPhone 13 trade to Apple for 4 gift cards 180? Each other sell them on eBay for 200+. Then it's 800 credit for 200 bucks right? You can trade for iPhone 17 or something instead and it would be better then doing the 200 dollars for this 300 off only.
The Specs are not that great it's below pixel 9.
Pixel 9 was and still much better value than 10 line by far. Not worth upgrading at all in the pixel lineup. Might be better to go back to iPhones. Their mistake was making the camera crappy making getting the A budget version pointless
