You can avoid sales tax if you choose a dealer out of your state and have it shipped
That may depend on the state you live in. I live in Arizona and I have to pay tax on out of state purchases. Arizona is suing RockAuto for back taxes and unfortunately RockAuto simply stopped shipping to Arizona.

I still haven't got my order from the last promo in January from this dealer. Switch dealers if you want the part in less than a month.

I received my power steering pump from a January order in less than 2 weeks. Last year I ordered a taillight lens during one of these sales and it took just over a month to arrive.

No way, i need rock auto. What the hell, when did this happen?

edit: just logged into my account and this is not true at all.. all my orders from them had taxes added over the years and they still ship to AZ. why make shit up?

Most of the mechanical parts are the same. Figure out the comparable Toyota model to your lexus and confirm if the parts you need are interchangeable and order them using the Toyota part number.

Most dealerships. The two main Florida ones work for Brandon and Orlando.

Expect tax as that has been updated as of last year!

I just saw this deal in an email.

Once you click on the link, you can change the dealer to a different one. On the January sale, I changed the dealer to a local one and picked up my order the next day. Some people who ordered from the linked dealer are still waiting on their order. Serra is a great dealer that I have ordered from before. However, due to the SD linked deal they were inundated with orders and they are still trying to catch up.
Exactly! Tax has killed any good reasons to buy out of state. One of my orders never arrived after 16 months from a dealer not on this page!

wow just last week they had 15% off and just in time for me to replace a pass side cv axle on my lexus due to torn boot and vibration. it was a $400 part too and I diyed and the car drives smooth af now. however last night noticed the driver side is leaking but not torn so will likely jump on this. Absolute perfect timing. Thanks OP!!

BTW my local toyota charges 25% restocking fee fyi
also a day later last time lexus had a 14% off
hoping lexus does 24% lol bc the cv axle is cheaper at lexus!
im in NY and the 25% isnt available BUT will work if I set Decatur Toyota. there is no tax but a $45 shipping for the axle. most likely will do it!

Be sure to try a different dealer/zip code. Every SE dealer I checked was offering the 25% off.
What is the part number? I'll check a couple for you.

People are not realizing that they are dealing with a Dealer Parts department. They don't have dedicated online only sales and shipping teams. Also they don't stock every part for every car. When you order something not in local inventory they have to order and wait for it to be shipped to them before shipping out to you. And finally during these 25% off sales their order backlog becomes significant. So yes this is a solid deal to get oem parts for fantastic prices. Show some patience, realize the win you are getting and accept whatever delay comes up.
That's not how the program works. Toyota ships all the parts that you order to the dealership that you choose, and Toyota pays that dealership to fulfill the order. The dealership does not pull from existing stock. This is firsthand information that I received from the Parts Manager at my local dealership.
