Install syncthing-fork on both of your phones, and leave your pixel plugged in at home. Setup syncthing to sync your camera folder from your real phone. Any time you take a photo or video it'll immediately transfer directly to your pixel and backup to Google photos from there. It's like having the unlimited original quality Google photos storage deal on any phone.

You can even download all the photos and videos you have in your Google photos account currently (Google takeout makes this easy), delete them from Google photos, copy them to your pixel 1 camera folder, and they'll upload back into your Google Photos account, but take up no space.

And if anyone wants in on this, just buy a used pixel 1. All photos and videos that upload to Google Photos from a pixel 1 take up no storage space on your account, regardless of what device you used to capture them. It's free lifetime unlimited original quality photo and video cloud storage.

At some point in the future the OS on the original pixel will become too old to run the latest Google photos app, and this loophole will end, but anything you upload until that time is free to store forever.

Did the costco route:

Max 4 lines allowed
No activation fee, $100 shop card per line
Have credit card ready to pay tax for the full price of the phones
Have your old phone IMEI ready - need to be T-Mobile network compatible. I used the decades old 2G phones
Have computer ready to DocuSign the order email
It took me one hour to complete, no hiccups

I'm on a free line that's not supposed to get any device promos, but I see the free phone offer and can get all the way through checkout before submit with no issues.
Can they come back a couple months later and say my line no longer qualifies and kill the credits?

Just did it.
Total was $35+tax. So 70ish. Can't complain too much here, pretty neat phones for $70.

Called in. Can't waive the fees. Also trade ins that have IMEI the system doesn't recognize won't qualify for this promotion according to them.
Had a few a32 5gs left over from a few years back that came in handy.

Damn good writeup. Never bought used phone but maybe it's time to do homework. Can you sync with it from other Samsung phones too?

Oh, and I tried to check if my plan qualifies (I am on the old One plan). But the link just took me to the page that lists what my plan covers. It didn't say anything specifically about this $400 Pixel 9a promo.
This is where I am with it. I got through all the checkout screens up to 'place order' but too scared to lose my grandfathered One 55 plan

I just traded in a Pixel XL that I had laying around for a Pixel 10 Pro for $800 off. I was upgrading my 7a line on my Go5G Plus service.

Has anyone with Advantage Unlimited successfully completed this promo? I do not want to lose my plan trying to use the promo.

Dang I REALLY wanted this deal (My a35 5g was destroyed in a car crash I had recently). I have simple choice, but I'm having problems they won't let me because it is a simple choice business plan and t life won't work to shop because of that, apparently.

Select choice ult tt+d 30.
Pixel shows up at $299, offer with trade in any phone shown in t-life. But try to verify any of 3 phones and rejects lg g6, g7, samsung s5. Try to add to cart at $299 no promo and Server Error message.
Yeah, gotta love T-MessedUp....

You traded in the phone that gives you free lifetime unlimited original quality Google photos storage of all photos and videos added to your Google photos account via the pixel XL, including photos and videos taken with other devices?

Have you switched to using Immich, and therefore no longer need nor want Google to store your photos?

Any thoughts about the photo quality would be appreciated. I'd be trading in my Samsung 21 if that helps with what I'm used to for pic output. TIA!

This, i was able to get 2 Pixel 10 with any trade in, and any condition, on essential 55+ plan (2 lines). I ended up trading in a Motorola G Power 2020 with a cracked screen that doesnt even power on and a brand new still in box Motorola G Power 5G 2024. Total was $187 out the door (plus $37.50 for Motorola G Power 5G 2024 that still brand new in the box) for $1,600 worth of phones.

Best SD ever for phones!!!
Wait, do they accept any phone condition? I got Note 8 with shattered screen still works like a champ but shards cut your fingers.. I couldn't find anyone to replace the glass, so ots sitting in drawer.
