Vast majority of this game (pvp and coop pve) require the online subscription to access. There are some live-service-y elements but no micro transactions. Content updates have mostly stopped.

Very stylish, and nothing else plays like it. Worth learning motion control since there's no auto aim for sticks control.

yeah, i learned that the hard way with splatoon 2. the story isn't anything crazy or long, so without online, it's really not worth buying.

I wish I can still play the Wii U version online. That game was good. free online play was the good ole days

Actually this game unlike the other game in the series has on the beat single player Mario like adventure ive ever seen in a shooter.

Incorrect Actually this game unlike the other game in the series has on off beat single play Mario like adventure ive ever seen in a shooter.

Still fine for the most part. Some maps in the coop mode may get more frame drops at higher difficulties but nothing too debilitating.

FYI, this game does not have local multiplayer with split screen. Each player needs their own console and their copy of game to play multiplayer.
