One question, I see conflicting data on whether it's 1 battery or 2? It shows 2 batteries on the listing and in one other spot but the website also says includes 1 battery. I guess i'll find out soon enough.
It's 1 battery, the listing is wrong. On the box, it only list 1 battery. Unless this one is different than the one that was on clearance for 58.

In my experience HD won't price match with their own clearance prices. What I've done to get around this is to buy a cheaper one, and then return that one new in box using the receipt from the first one you purchased, assuming your still within the return window.

My local store had 2 on the shelf at this price. Grabbed one but now I'm realizing the 2 tool kit with 2 batteries is only $119. I've got a 10+ year old brushed drill and impact driver I want to replace. Probably makes more sense to wait for a different deal, so this might be a return for me.

someone in my family has a ryobi impact driver with 4ah battery in the garage. should i stick to ryobi? I was keeping a close eye on ridgid tools because a lot of ppl here kept praising its LSA, which is a nice to have.
If you only do light work around the house ryobi is fine and they have tons of different tools like the bigger names but if you plan on using your tools often or use them to make money I would go ahead and upgrade especially if u can find it at this price

So if the website just shows that all of my stores have it, but it is listed at $99 and there is no "check clearance price in store" logo, then I'm out of luck yes?
I noticed that there is also a $99 version with 2 batteries. Funny enough when I sent the link to the bundle with one battery, my friend got directed to the $99 one with 2 batteries.

I went to my store, bought one at $45 and then took that right to the return desk and returns with the prior purchase receipt at $58.

Then went back and bought the RIDGID magnetic work light kit with 2ah battery and charger for $37

Thanks OP! My store said one in stock for clearance but there were actually two. They had a tool deal wheeled cart by checkout with some dewalt, Ridgid, and Ryobi things. The hammer drill deal was in the normal yellow clearance rack.

The battery is the lowest grade they have, but has the lifetime warranty so not to worried about it.

Went to store with 2 in stock. Guy said he'd go check and then never came back. Didn't bother trying to ask someone else and left. Looks like several random store have "2 in stock" so I suspect their inventory doesn't update quickly. I'm kinda done chasing deals and hounding unfriendly employees to save $50 that will never impact me long term.

Honestly you need to do the work yourself. That's why it's a slickdeal. Check the upper shelves for the ten-digit stickers, check the normal clearance rack, the pro desk, the center aisle displays, the checkout displays. If that's not worth whatever the relative savings are, then don't do it.

I probably bat >70% if an item is shown 1 or more in stock at my local stores, but it has nothing to do with employees. They often don't know that something has been marked down or If a manager has moved it to a different clearance spot.
