First one broke and had to be serviced. Finally broke after warranty. Took a chance again and it works but the interface is so slow now it's pathetic. Service guy coming again next week. Just my experience, will never buy Hisense again.

Already out of warranty? I see it was released early last year.

When did you buy it? or did Hisense not honor the one-year warranty?

Hisense did the worst in this long term test: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o...pY4&t=329s

I believe it!! Again, this is my experience with Hisense. Some might say it's great.

I was always under the assumption that Hisense was the "bargain" brand but I was hoping to be proved wrong this many years later. Is mini LED not the TV tech that beats OLED these days?

People on here saying Hisense sucks. Just here to say I have a 2020 55 inch R6 and it's still kicking strong. Not mad at all for $200 I paid for it. Sounds like people have just had bad luck. But even there dirt cheap value models can hold up over time.

I picked up the 85 inch from Best Buy ($1300) and granted I've only had it a day (literally installed it yesterday). I am extremely pleased with the picture quality and performance. I do use an AppleTV so I don't use the UI for the TV. It took a little tweaking of settings to get rid of the high frame rate interpolation, but I have no regrets. It had a high rtings rating which helped me pull the trigger. For the current price savings and my budget (sub 1500) I don't know if I could have done better.

My only downsides so far have to do with the size and weight. I thankfully had a 150 lb mount and the TV weighing in at 86 pounds needed some help getting it up on the mount and it just fit width wise. Also my goal for upgrading (from a 55 inch) was to have it be "slightly obnoxiously" large it's a bit more than "slightly" obnoxiously large for the room (like two feet left on each side of the wall) and it's a smaller room (maybe 10 feet from TV to couch) but definitely a fantastic cinema experience and watching a soccer game last night it worked pretty darn well.

Note that the screen (on the 75 I didn't check) may be a shiny screen which could be an issue with reflections, my room only has one window (an egress window), but a simple shade on the window eliminated it.

For the Mini-LED/OLED comparison I believe that OLED is still better, but Mini-LED with lots of dimming zones helps make it a very close comparison, with some slight vibrancy sacrifice, but less risk of burn in .

OLED is better for dark rooms because it can achieve true black but mini led is better for bright rooms. It can get brighter overall, especially with bright scenes (like all that snow and ice in the winter Olympics) and sustain that brightness much longer than OLED can.
