This movie certainly looked and sounded pretty in the theater, but if you know anything about motorsports it's pretty trite. At almost all times you can see the next 10 minutes coming, and when you can't it's because the movie trades F1 realism for Hollywood tropes. The racing looks great but all of the logic behind it doesn't hold up to scrutiny. If you did what Pitt's character does in real F1 races you'd be booted off the track.

When it comes to the Bruckheimer Scale, this movie is too much Armageddon and not enough Top Gun.
