The unlimited TEXT is for basic SMS only. You have to turn off RCS for the unlimited TEXT because RCS needs data.

I bought one two months ago and the unlimited TEXT never worked. After the 200MB data is used up, the SMS text stopped working. Only iMessage works when there is wifi connection. I had to switch to another carrier.

But, it looks like the website design has updated since I last logged on to Redpocket.com many months ago and now I see an easy option to switch between networks under the account. Mine doesn't renew until mid-May so no rush for me to get this right now.

Not surprised! RedPocket is complete shit. I had them for a year and every single month I would completely lose all service anywhere between a few hours to 2 days as they rolled a NEW monthly plan into my account. I bought a 12-month plan and was shocked when customer service told me that all customers temporarily lose service as staff at RedPocket needs to rotate customers onto a new month manually on their backend. F*ing unreal!

I got in this exact deal for my son in December, but for some reason my phone with US Mobile can't receive calls from his RedPocket line. The calls always prompted to my voice mail.

I do something similar with Helium Mobile. It's free for talk and text with 1gb data. Cost is "free" but you pay tax and fees.
