It's been this same price for 3 months. Not a "sale". It's a good jacket though, I bought one. Runs slightly larger.

Agreed. Definitely not a sale. I bought 2 of this for less than $30 each 2 years ago

I have bought a hooded down parka jacket from this brand only once a few years ago. I also have a few parkas from other brands (Columbia, Mountain Hardwear, Patagonia, E Fisher, Outdoor Research, Arc'teryx) just for experimenting. I found this brand having a bit cheaper feel, look than Mountain Hardwear. It is unfortunate that MH doesn't have any crazy sales (their 40% off even if you are lucky to also get a birthday month coupon) aren't as good as they used to be. MH and Outdoor Research, for me, were the sweet spot between discounted SD price and quality, parka hooded jacket model dependent.

I am a down/jacket/parka nut and have yet to compare the big names to 32 degrees.

How was the down 32 degree parka vs the major brands, warmth wise? I have many down and quality synthetic pieces so feel free to use specific model references.
Thanks!

I own this exact jacket, it's warm and is very comfortable. Material doesn't feel robust so not sure how it would hold up working or hiking or something but casual walks has been just fine for 2 years. Paid 24.99 back then

I bought one a couple years ago on this same end of season sale. I wear it to the gym every morning here in South Dakota.

I bought this for $24.99 two years ago. The coat is awesome, warm and comfortable. Worth the extra $5 it costs now.
