I bought one in December for about the same price, used it every day in my car as a leg warmer (my car has an 110 v outlet). So far it has been perfect.

Yeah, I tried to be optimistic about this one but I looked through a BUNCH of reviews and all the recent ones are almost universally horrible and saying that it breaks easily. I don't require much in a heating pad for $10 but those reviews were enough to convince me that I was basically going to be paying that price to essentially throw it straight in the trash. Caveat emptor.

These can be decent for car camping, but I'd go with a Walmart one if you need to return it.
