Assuming you need the 6ah batteries (extra weight), yes. The general "logic" of batteries deals is $10/ah. This is $7/ah.

Yes if you can get it at the clearance price. If my local store had these at this price I'd snatch them up immediately. The 6Ah HP batteries are usually significantly more expensive and this price is even less than used ones on ebay. If it's at the $140 sale price that's a harder sell, it would make more sense to wait for Ryobi Days and pick up a bundle of batteries+tool instead. At full standard price absolutely not worth it.

They won't be available even if u see a "See In-Store Clearance Price $85" on their web page. Home Depot just want to lure you there to buy some other junks that u don't need.

In store clearance is inherently YMMV, but I have about an 85% success rate finding clearance items assuming it says they have more than 1 left in stock (If it says only 1 I assume its an inventory issue, lost, stolen, etc). I've had to pull boxes down off the racks to unbox and purchase items occasionally, but they certainly aren't lying.
