Ugh, Google Fi is charging sales tax on the full purchase price, not the after discount price.

Comes to like 17.5% in taxes when it should be 1/2 that.

The 512gb price is $1499... Therefore $850 is correct! I'm not sure if the 256gb is eligible

New FI customers can have 512gb for $999

Samsung pricing is insane. Apple is final cheaper by a mile. Samung sales are nonstarters

Do not see the port in requirement for new customer.
How will you activate without a number? If you're an existing customer on an unlimited essentials plan and don't want to upgrade your plan, and you want to use a new email...

Term for new customer. You would get a random number upon activation. Previous new customers promo spelled porting out in the terms. For the s26 I do not see it.

Just for a data point. I am on Flexible on pause currently. I was able to order for $650+tax 512gb version. It shows in my promo area that i need to activate it on fi 30 days from date of shipped. So i will remove the pause the day the phone arrives and then activate it on the S26U!
Smart move. That is what I will do as well.

Did it say the expected ship date? Thanks.

Whats the s25 ultra 256gb worth private sale locally?? Wonder how close to break even I can get.
I sold mine for $780 in Marketplace earlier this month so I will be paying $3 to upgrade

This offer applies to existing customers. New customers should wait for one billing cycle or get $300 off and $600 back over 24 months.
21 days wait to become an "existing customer" as mentioned in the post and that's should be the way to go if you want to have this phone instead of doing 24 months credit.

Yeah that stinks. I was planning on trading in my S25+, I'm tired of the giant screen and I want to go back to the small option. But if they won't accept it as a trade-in, then it's not a deal for me.

Could sell on Swappa I guess, but that's a hassle.
Sell it locally on FB Marketplace or something. I have been upgrading to latest ultras every year without paying anything this way. Sold my S25 ultra earlier this month for $780

Anyone know if I can switch between Unlimited Premium and Flexible while locked in the "120 consecutive days" requirement? I don't need the Unlimited Premium right now, but may need it in couple of months while traveling. Would hate to burn through the savings due to data charges while on the Flexible plan ($10/GB!).
No you can't. You have to stay in that plan until the promo is over in 120 days.

edit: this is generally true but I have seen reports of people switching between two higher tier plans like between flexible and unlimited premium plans but I would be skeptical about doing that, if anything goes wrong Google FI support can't fix anything

Can you elaborate? Did you have to reactivate the account first (presumably paying the $20+) without a phone, then you saw the deal show up to order the phone separately? Or did you somehow reactivate and see the phone deal in the same transaction?
I did the same thing as the poster you quoted. I did not re-activate my account. I have been pausing service every 90 to keep the account "active." The deal shows up automatically. I just checked out and paid the $650 + tax.
When the phone arrives, you just un-pause the service and active it on the new phone. Basically leave the service on for 120 days. Once you clear the 120 days, you just pause the service again. You just have to remember to re-suspend the plan every 90 days, otherwise google will automatically re-activate it.
This all assumes you are using a different service provider and just using google-fi to get a discount on the phone.

Thank you. Is your service paused now? Resuming the service a day or so before the phone arrives or at least before you activate the device on the line, would be fine, correct? Thanks

I had to sign up for the $20 plan again, I have not activated yet though. I was then able to go back into the internal account pages where you can see the deals. I have not paid the $20 yet, only agreed to once I activate.

i'm on unlimited standard, $90 for 3, so switching to premium is $135 for 3, it's $45 x 4 months (120 days)=$180, it's almost the same as the $450 to $650 difference in the discount.

No, my number is with FI so I just ordered. I think what service you have at the time of activation matters so it should be fine to resume the service. What does it show in the FI app tracker?
